This is the third book in the Reapers MC series and it is the story of Liam “Hunter” Blake and Emmy Hayes.

Hunter is a Devil’s Jack, a rival motorcycle club and sworn enemy of the Reapers.  Em is the daughter of Picnic, who just happens to be the president of the Reapers.  Picnic has always pictured his beloved daughter falling in the steps of her late mother and becoming an “old lady” to a fellow Reaper.  But you know what they say?  The heart wants what the heart wants.  And Hunter and Em want each other.  But at what cost?

I love that Em is a feisty, young woman who has grown up in the MC world and knows exactly what it means to be with someone in that type of lifestyle.  She is quick witted and stands her ground…even up against a big, bad biker [and yes, that reference is not just for her father].

I love that Hunter is willing to fight for Em, even if his club only wants him to use her as a peace token.  There were moments where I was shaking my head in disbelief [ugh men] and others where I was sighing and fanning myself.  I mean let’s face it, he’s HOT!

Joanna Wylde has given us a modern day, dark, MC version of Romeo and Juliet.  I really enjoyed this read and can’t wait to see where Ms. Wylde takes this series.
