Marked for Death ( Blind Jacks MC, 1) by J.C. Valentine is her new series which begins with Ryder. He is the Sargent in Arms for the club. He is out on a job hunting a crazy guy who has been making trouble. Unfortunately the guy gets the jump on Ryder and he ends up waking up in the hospital. This is Tiffany’s last day as a nurse in the ER. One of her patients is a difficult sexy biker who has been shot twice and has a concussion. Ryder has his eye on the pretty nurse but he knows he is in bad shape. He has to get out the hospital before his shooter comes back. He is able to get Tiffany to help him. Tiffany loves a bad boy and Ryder definitely fits the bill. Both embark on a journey where they need to be safe but the sexual tension is a distraction. A good distraction which makes for a very good story. Both have a quick wit and a smart mouth which kept me entertained. I laughed quite a bit with those two. Looking forward to more between the two of them plus being introduced to the other members of the gang. Tiffany also has a past of her own and it will eventually show its ugly head. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader Copy of this book. I give this story 4.5 stars.
