No Prince by Stevie Cole & LP Lovell is the story of Monroe and Zeppelin. Both are dealing with a rough life. Both are from the wrong side of the tracks. They do what they have to, just trying to survive. Monroe lives in the trailer park with her cracked out mother. Trying to do better for herself Monroe sees a scholarship as her way out of her circumstances. However until that times she does what she has to in order to make ends meet. Zepp and his crew steal cars, sells dope and are the town’s resident bad boys. Monroe stays away from Zepp and his crew but when she needs a favor she finds herself at his beck and call for 3 months. The story was a little silly and over the top; so what. I loved Monroe and Zepp. Their bickering and back and forth with a healthy dose of sexual tension had me truly entertained. Zepp’s brother Hendrick is absolutely hilarious and mental. I laughed so much during this story along with falling in love with it. I could have read more about Monroe and Zepp. Their friends where rather interesting and I would love to read a story about each one of them. I was left with a smile on my face and a warm and fuzzy feeling. 4.5 stars for me
