Only neither of us attended the wedding, and the nuptials happened decades before either of us was born.
Our grandfathers had been best friends and business partners, at least up until my grandfatherโs wedding dayโwhen his bride-to-be blurted out she couldnโt marry him because she was also in love with Westonโs grandfather.
The two men spent years fighting over Grace Copeland, who also happened to be their third business partner.ย But in the end, neither man could steal half of her heart away from the other.
Eventually, they all went their separate ways.ย Our grandfathers married other women, and the two men became one of the biggest business rivals in history.
Our fathers continued the family tradition of feuding.ย And then Weston and I did, too.
For the most part, we kept as much distance as possible.
Until the day the woman who started the feud diedโand unexpectedly left one of the most valuable hotels in the world to our grandfathers to share.
Now Iโm stuck in a hotel with the man I was born to hate, trying to unravel the mess our families inherited.
As usual, it didnโt take long for us to be at each otherโs throats.
Weston Lockwood was everything I hated: tall, smart, cocky, and too gorgeous for his own good.ย We were fire and ice.
But that shouldnโt be an issue. Our families were used to being at war. There was just one minor problem, though.ย ย Every time Weston and I fought, we somehow wound up in bed.

The Rivals is a complete standalone with an HEA! What are the chances that your rival would be sitting next to you on a plane? The Rivals are Weston Lockwood & Sophia Sterling (fifi or feef). Weston calls her his special little nicknames just to irritate her.
The rivalry started 2 generations ago. Their Grandfathers had been BFFโs until a woman came between them. Neither of them got the girl. Now they are enemies that have extended even to their children and now grandchildren.
Now the woman that both the grandfathers loved has died and she left them her hotel, 49 shares each with 2 shares going to the highest bidder.
It is up to the grandchildren, Weston and Sophia are given the job of bringing the hotel up to date and each are to bring in the highest bid so, one side can have the controlling interest.
I love when Weston and Sophia fight! Because the one place they get along is in the bedroom or wherever they might landโฆ.
This is a cute story. I love both Weston and Sophia’s personalities! They had so much chemistry together!
I love Vi Keelandโs books. She knows how to pull out all the emotions and then she brings you to โHappily Ever Afterโ.
Bettina A’s Review: 5 STARS
Once again Vi Keeland did not disappoint me. I enjoyed reading this book immensely. Sophia is a strong woman who has to continually prove to daddy that she is more than just an accessory on a manโs arm. Finally given the chance to temporarily manage The Countess and try to win the bidding war to have control of the hotel by her grandfather she does not intend on disappoint him. Sophia did not expect to deal with Weston Lockwood. Although both Sterlings and Lockwoods has hated each other, Sophia has a past with Weston that she try to forget. Weston has secrets that he doesnโt want Sophia to know. The longer they are around each other the more lines start to blurt. Will Sophia and Weston overcome their families feud or will they let it keep them apart?
