GHOST NOTE by Vicki JamesA ROCKSTAR ROMANCE**LIVE NOW**
BLURB
Six years.Seventy-two months.
Over two thousand days.
Thatโs what Iโd dedicated to that guitar-playing a*sehole, Danny Silver.
Now I, Daisy Piper, was left to pick up the wreckage of his love while he ran off with the band to find fortune and fame.
Life went on without him, and a new man soon rescued me from the ashes of Danny, but a part of my heart remained a little broken, no matter who tried to fix it. First loves canโt be forgotten so easily, and when Danny returned to our small hometown in Devonโfamous and adored by millionsโI couldnโt stop myself from wanting to get a glimpse of the man Iโd once laid beside, to see how much heโd changed.
The smallest actions make for the biggest mistakes, and a single look into Dannyโs eyes was all it took before I ran. I ran because the spark that came to life inside felt dangerous, and I wasnโt the kind of girl who enjoyed getting burnt twice.
But running from a rock star isnโt as easy as I thought it would be, and with Dannyโs sights now firmly set on me again, all I could do was pray that he got bored of the chase. That he thought life in Devon was too slow for him, and that he craved the bright lights of the city, as well as the noise of the stadium.
If he didnโt, I was about to ruin everything for everyone.
Especially myself, and my stupid little Silver-lined heart.ย ย

Ghost Note by Vicki James is the story of Daisy Piper. She has loved Danny for years. They had plans to be together forever. That’s not what happened. Danny left his small town of Hope Cove and Daisy for life in a band. He became famous and never came back. Daisy has tried to get on with her life but no one can compare to what she had with Danny. After 5 years Danny is now back in Hope Cove for his grandmother’s death and funeral. Danny has to deal with all the hurt he left behind. Daisy doesn’t know how she feels about seeing Danny again. She still loves him but hates him at the same time. I can say that I didn’t like neither one of them during most of this book. I didn’t like Danny because of how he left and his actions since his departure from Hope Cove. Daisy was not honest with her feelings which caused more problems and made me irritated with her. However as the true story of their break up unfolded and their subsequent actions, the story made perfect sense. The story was of a love so strong that despite the split it never died but grew. Danny is the ultimate dream boyfriend and what he did for Daisy was amazing. By the end I had a big smile on my face. The book ended but their story had just began again. I really wanted more of their story. 4 stars for me.

Ghost Note is a second chance romance and a standalone within a series book and yes you can read this book on itโs own. But I would personally start with Cherry Beats then Dirty Rock and then Ghost Note. Thatโs just so that you are in the know as to what has happened in the past.
Daisy Piper was in love with Danny Silver and she thought he loved her but he blindsided her with a breakup so that he can go out and explore the world and join a band. Danny didnโt feel that Daisy was ready for that so he left her behind.
Six years later and Danny is back. He wants Daisy back but she wants nothing to do with him and she sure does make it hard for him to do just that. Daisy is in for an emotional roller coaster and so is the reader.
There were times when I really didnโt blame Daisy for treating Danny the way she did. After-all he broke it off with her. But I also kind of got irritated with her at the same time.
I did love how the book ended! I canโt wait to read more of Vicki James books! 4 Stars
