Blurb:
Zeus is the cruelest man in the city. And he’s the only one who can save me.

If I don’t sell my body at one of his infamous parties, I’ll be forced into a nightmarish arranged marriage.

But he won’t accept any offers. Not until he’s had me for himself.

I thought I chose the right man to help me escape.

I was wrong.

Lita T’s Review:Β  4 stars

Richer than God by Amelia Wilde which is Zeus’s story. We met Zeus in the King of Shadows series. You can read this book as a standalone but the Shadow series is well worth the read. Brigit has decided that working at the whorehouse is the better option to the mountain. She needs quick money to escape an arranged marriage between her and her Uncle. Zeus is selecting new recruits for his whorehouse when he comes across Brigit who he knows is not whore material. There is something about this naive woman that he can’t turn his back on. Instead of turning her away he has taken it upon himself to train her, at least that is what he is telling himself. The attraction Zeus feels for Brigit is something he has never experienced before. These feelings are not only reeking havoc on him but on Brigit as well. This was a good story, watching both Zeus a Brigit go through. The love/ hate and sexual tension between the two had me wanting more. Each is dealing with people from their past trying to get to them. The ending was unexpected and left their journey on a cliffhanger. I am so excited to see where their story will end. 4 whore stars for me.

Bettina A’s Review: 4 Stars

Brigit is running from a future she does not want. Looking over her shoulder to make sure her dad isn’t following her, she runs right into Zeus’ grasp. Zeus is not a nice man. Owning a brothel where women are paid for there services, Brigit plans to offer her body so that she can leave the country and her father behind. Only she gets a lot more than she expect. Zeus decides to personally train her so that he can be ready to be sold to the highest bidder. Only neither of them could anticipate the feelings they experience. Zeus heart is cold and turned to stone but can Brigit’s innocence crack his heart? Or will Brigit finally get what she wanted, to be sold to the highest bidder.

First and foremost I would highly recommend reading King of Shadows series before this book. There is quite a few things going in the background that I am assuming started in the trilogy. I will be rectifying this very soon. Second, this book does end with a cliffhanger. And what a cliffhanger it is. While I am not a fan of it I am looking forward to the next book to see what happens to Brigit and Zeus. This book is on the lighter side of dark for me but still enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this book to others.
