Bastards and Scapegoats is the first book in the Twisted Legacy Duet. This is Hamilton Beauregard and Vera Garnerโs story. Hamiltonโs brother, Joseph (Hamiltonโs brother) married Vera’s mother. Making Hamilton Veraโs step uncle.
Both Hamilton and Vera are a little broken, maybe that is why they gravitate to each other. And from the blurb I bet you guessed that Hamilton is the black sheep of his family.
There are jaw dropping moments and some twists that I didnโt see coming. I enjoyed reading this taboo/forbidden romance. I found I had a couple of jaw dropping moments and there are also some twists to the story that I didnโt see coming.
Now I canโt wait until February 2021 because that is when Thornโs and Forgiveness, the conclusion to Hamilton and Veraโs story.ย 4.5 Stars
