Did I really say in an earlier review that I actually like cliffhangers? Yes I did and I knew there was going to be one with this book since I knew there were going to be 5 books in this new series! But, that didn’t stop my moan coming out when I got to the ending.

The Revelation of Light and Dark is the first book in the Chronicles of the Stone Veil series. This book is off to a great start to this brand new series. It held me mesmerized and not allowing me to do much other than read today! BTW it was a perfect day to read with a mixture of snow and rain happening outdoors. I could just stay wrapped up reading!

Sawyer Bennett is brilliant and I think she can write just about anything! She certainly has my attention!

I have so many questions to be answered and I need the next book, NOW! We have light FAE and Dark FAE, we have Daemons, we have a council of 5 Gods and we have Carrick Byrne. What is he??? What is Finley Porter??? There is a Prophecy in the mix too. A possible world ending prophecy! It is up to Carrick & Finley to figure out what that prophecy is.

I absolutely can’t wait to read the next book in this series, A Discovery of Secrets and Fate is book 2. As far as I am concerned it can’t get here soon enough! 5++++ Stars Worthy!!!

The Revelation of Light and Dark (Chronicles of The Stone Veil # 1) by Sawyer Bennett is a real departure from the books this author normally writes. I am use to reading her series about hockey players. Finley has know there was something strange about her. Like her father who committed suicide when her and her twin sister were 16, Finley has struggled with mental illness. Now she is living a good life. She loves her job managing a coffee shop. She has a handle on her mental illness and she loves her roommates/ friends. At a Art Gallery gala thrown by her twin sister her life takes a turn into something she isn’t prepared for. Carrick has a terrible reaction to Finley when he first met her but when he next sees her he discovers she has an ability no human should have. Now she has to wrap her mind around the existence of Fae and Daemons. This story for me was a slow burn. The author was setting up the groundwork for the upcoming books. Like Finley who was trying to figure out who and what she is and how she is able to do what she does as well as how does Carrick fits into all of this, I am right along with her. The ending was the climax this story needed to keep this reader interested. I will be looking forward to the books that will be coming. I need to know the answer to my many questions especially concerning Finley and Carrick 4 stars for me.
