โAnd Nik is part of the plan?โ
โHeโsโฆโ I trailed off as my gaze locked on the very man.
He stood in the hallway outside of the ballroom with a phone to his ear. His dark, penetrating gaze studied me in a way I should have been used to by now, but always felt as if it was the first time. Everything inside me clenched in response.
Fuck.
He was gorgeous in the way that gave a woman heart palpitations, and no woman around him was immune.
Those broad shoulders and muscled arms gave truth to the rumors he spent more time than not in the boxing ring and probably meant there wasnโt an ounce of unnecessary fat on his body. Then there were those piercing almost-black eyes that seemed to see too much with a simple look. And finally, his face looked as if it had been created by the discerning eye of a sculptorโs chisel, but was the result of the beautiful union between his Afro-Trinidadian mother and Indian father.
The one thing that kept him from looking too perfect was the dusting of a beard, which only added to the unrefined edge he carried naturally. His whole aura made a woman think of all the wickedly delicious things he could do to her body.
I couldnโt help but wonder what it would be like to run my fingers across his jaw just once. Or to kiss those lips Iโd dreamed about over too many restless nights.
Nope, dammit, Danika. Donโt go there. Put him back in that box of impossibilities. Well, at least for a little longer.
Maybe one day I could allow myself a taste, or if I was lucky, a night to indulge.

Danika lost her family at a young age and her uncle took her in but it wasnโt out of love or loyalty to the family. Unfortunately, she lost the family a created in her old neighborhood when was taken away. Nik who once was a street rat grew up into a powerful business man. Yet he never forgot about that girl in his past who saw him for him and not his circumstance. Fifteen years later, as much as they changed, they were still the same in some ways. Secrets is what Nik and Danika kept from each other. Secrets that could bring them closer together or tear them apart for the final time. Is love more important than revenge? Or is revenge that only thing that matters?
Finally a book with no cliffhanger at the end! I could not put this book down. I read this book in one sitting. (Who needs sleep?) I love the strength of the heroine, Danika. I honestly feel like the title is misleading. I feel like Danika is truly the dangerous one. Nik may have the physical intimidation but Danika was that snake in the grass you never saw until you felt her bite. Finally a book where I can be proud of the heroine. I hope to read about the other characters. Even the side characters grew on me. I definitely recommend this book to others.

Dangerous King by Sienna Snow. This story was so much more than I had expected. There were so many elements of this story that put a smile on my face. Danika was from the wrong side of the tracks when her uncle tore her away from Nik aka Hill. He was the street rat who looked after the nerdy Danika. Now as adults Nikย the notorious king pin of the city and Danika is the lacky to her uncle who is rich and very powerful. An uncle who as she was growing up was not only emotionally abusive but physically too. She is older now and destroying her uncle is the only thing on her mind. In order to do that she has to enlist the help of Nik, her childhood crush who she has had any interaction with since she was taken from the old neighborhood. I loved the premise of this story. I loved the characters in the story especially Danika and Nik. Their ethnicity was a great surprise and was something new and fresh. The intrigue, secrets and deception had me. With everything this story offered, this story had me at page one. I couldn’t get enough. The ending was anticlimactic which was a real let down but I am hoping for more books from this author with these characters.ย Fingers crossed ! 4.5 stars for me.
