On the Rocks – 4 Stars
On the Rocks is the first book in the Last Call series.ย It was great to read one of my TBRโs on my Kindle since 2018. I should have read this book a long time ago. I will be going back and reading the entire series.
This was Hunter Markham and Gabby Wardโs story. Hunter was a Pro surfer but came home to stay for family reasons. Gabby has known Hunter since they were both children. She has been in love with him for a long time now. She threw herself at him after she graduated from high school. And he rebuffed her then. Now it is 5 years later and Hunter is back. Gabby is still in love with him but she is still angry and he realizes how much he wants her.
This was a very enjoyable story and like I said earlier I will be going back and reading this series.
ย Legal Affairs – 5 STARS
Legal Affairs was first published in 2014 so the book and series isnโt brand new. Legal Affairs is the first book in the Legal Affairs series. This is Matt Connover and McKayla โMacโ Dawsonโs story. Just a one night stand. Thatโs what it was supposed to be. Turns out Matt is now Macโs new boss. It is a small world after-all. And, they canโt get each other out of their systems so the relationship starts out as โjust sexโ. Matt keeps warning Mac that this is just sex. I think someone doth protest too much.
I loved reading Legal Affairs. The flow of this story was smooth even though their relationship was anything but smooth. Matt had been hurt in his previous relationship and he was guarding his heart at all cost. Mac stayed true to what she wanted in a relationship. Although, she did keep going back for one last time.
I love their story so much I am now reading the Confessions of a Litigation God which is told from Mattโs POV. I donโt usually like to read what I think is the same story just told from a different person. But, I have to say I am enjoying the next book very much.ย
Wicked Favor – 5 STARS
Wicked Favor is the first book that I have read by Sawyer Bennett and I canโt believe it has taken me so long to read her books. This book is the first book in The Wicked Horse Vegas Series. I loved this book and I hated to put it down so every chance I got I picked this book up to start reading again. For some reason my family thinks I need to participate with them while on vacation. Isnโt being on vacation the reason to read books. Anyway, I digress.
Wicked Favor is Hot, Hot, Hot! After all the setting is in an elite sex club that Jerico Jameson owns. If you ask me he was a bit of a manwhore participating in his sex club every single day and sometime multiple times during the day. He meets Trista Barnes when she comes in and asks for help. He helps her out but, not without expecting her to pay off the debt she now owes him. I donโt want to say more because I donโt want to give away any of this story.
As I said earlier this book is Hot! Panty wetting HOT. I have now discovered another author that I will be following and I canโt wait to read book 2 and the wait wonโt be too terribly long. Looks like Wicked Wish, book 2 will be out August 15, 2017. I know I will be standing in line waiting for it! I give Wicked Favor 5 Stars. I bought this book because I really wanted to read it after reading the synopsis and another of my bloggers wanted to read it and she got the ARC. So happy that I did buy this book.
