Bad Blood

This is my first book by these authors and I can’t wait to read more of their work! OMFG!!! I loved loved loved this book. It held my attention from the very beginning. If it wasn’t for working I would have finished this book in one day. I love Thalia! She is the daughter of a cartel boss and she had a backbone made of steel. She does not play the victim and wait for someone to save her. Santi is as heartless as they come and I love him for it. This book is very similar to Romeo and Juliet. Two families that hate each other for 20+ years. Sometimes is better to keep your enemies close but then again sometimes those line blurs and a enemy might become more. Santi has a secret he’s been keeping from Thalia. Will she be able to forgive or will she walk away once and for all.

This book does end on a cliff hanger but it’s not the kind that makes you want to throw your phone against a wall. I definitely recommend this book to others to read.

Bad Blood is the first book in the Corrupt Gods Duet. Evidently this is a spin off from The Santiago Trilogy by Catherine Wiltcher and Carrera Cartel trilogy by Cora Kenborn. I have not read either of these trilogy’s. I don’t think I have missed anything but what a great way to bring these 2 mafia romances together by 2 different authors to write Bad Blood. I loved it!!! I have read a couple of books by Catherine Wiltcher and this was my introduction to Cora Kenborn’s writing. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. And,
I am very happy to say this book WAS GOOD! Not just Good but VERY GOOD!

Thalia Santiago finds herself thrust into a forced marriage to Santi Carrera. The Carrera’s and the Santiago’s are in a war against each other.

I loved the sassiness of Thalia’s character and she gives Santi a run for his money! Oh this book ends on a dreaded cliffhanger! Fortunately Tainted Blood will be on June 9th! 5 Stars all the way!!! Loved this book!

Bad Blood (Corrupt Gods Duet # 1) by Cora Kenborn and Catherine Wiltcher is the story of Santiago and Thalia two kids born into rival gangs. Thalia is a spit fire who has find herself in a situation she has to handle on her own. She knows she shouldn’t go in the rival gangs territory but she has no choice. Santiago aka Santi comes across a known enemy at one of his crap tables. Instead of killing her he has decided on something worse. Marry the mafia princess would cause some real damage. Thalia needs to get what she needs so she can get out of the predicament she is in. Never did she think she would have to marry her family’s sworn enemy in order to do it. A good story that had me from the very beginning to the end. Thalia and Santi have a love hate relationship that had me crying laughing at times. The sexual tension between the two was thick enough to cut with a knife. A woman with sass always make for a story. Between Thalia and Santi’s sister Santi didn’t know if he was coming or going. Add the fact that it looks like Thalia’s family is declaring war, Santi has his hand’s full with that situation and his feelings for Thalia. So much going on. Not knowing who to trust. Everything seems to come to a head in the end. I am so looking forward to the conclusion of this story. Oh so good!!! 4.5 stars for. I really like these two authors story.
