My ridiculously long review! I loved this book!!!
Singe is #8 in the Men of Inked: Heatwave series. I know that I have said this before but I really want to belong to the Gallo family. I have been fortunate enough to have started reading about these Galloโs since the Men of Inked series then the spinoff Men of Inked Southside and now Men of Inked: Heatwave. The Heatwave spinoff are the now grown kids from the grown kids from Men of Inked. I hope that wasnโt too confusing! There is a Men of Inked Family tree on Men of Inked Chelle Blissโ website. Carmello & his twin, Rocco are Izzy “Gallo” Caldo & James Caldo’s kids. Izzy and James’ story was told in Resist Me, Men of Inked #3. As you can see there is a long history there.
This is Carmello Caldo & Arlo Kingโs book. I loved their story. Carmello or Mello has the family call him had a rough go for a while. His girlfriend had died in a car accident a while back. He is finally getting over that hurdle. He meets Arlo about a year before they ever get together, when he rescued her from an overly handsy admirer of hers.
He sees her about 6 months after his first rescue when he is a white knight coming to her rescue again when her car was broken down. It takes another 6 months for them to get together with Lilyโs help. She is one of his cousins.
As I said earlier, I have loved this series and have been fully invested in it! I think you might be able to tell that from my earlier explanation in this review. Itโs my way of keeping everyone straight. This is a large family and it only seems to keep growing!
I do believe that you could read all these books as standalones you just wonโt have all the background. You could also just start reading the beginning of the Heatwave series and be able to follow along. But if you want the best experience why not start at the beginning. Although, that is a lot of books!
Anyway back to Mello and Arlo, Mello has been taught by both his parents that he is to treat a woman with respect but that hasnโt always what Mello has done. He has been the type to love them and then leave them. But, Arlo is different and she is about to make Mello a changed man. I absolutely canโt wait to read the next book that Chelle Bliss writes. She knows how to suck you in and make you NEED to read the next book! 5 Stars. I loved Mello and Arlo.
