Melodic Madness (Converting Delirium #2) by Natalie Bennett. Since the last book came out over a year and a half ago I knew I had to reread book one. I am so glad I did because I didn’t realize just how much I didn’t remember. Catalina while struggling with her mental health she also has to deal with her feelings regarding her sister, her death and her sister’s husband. To combined insult to injury she finds out she has been bought and her mother who never gives her a straight answer has something to do with it. As Catalina is grappling with everything going on around her, Alaric continues to mess with her mind as he sets his plan in motion. This is definitely a mind twisting story that had this reader trying to decide what was real and what wasn’t. I know that by the end of this story I was more confused than ever and was left with more questions than answers. Not sure if there is another book or if there will be an off shoot of the other characters. If I was supposed to be left in the state of turmoil I was in than the story did it’s job. But if that was not how I was suppose to feel at the end of this story than the author missed the mark. I tend to think it was the first one. I still have to question my sanity when reading this author. Regardless I look forward to reading anything this author writes. Her stories are always dark, twisted and depraved. Oh I can’t forget the sick and kinky sex. Bring on the next story. 3.5 stars for me.
