Give Me A Reason (Redemption Hills #1) by A.L. Jackson. Eden needs this job. She is a “good girl”, to good to work at a place like Absolution. However she is hurting for cash and she is desperate. Trent takes one look at her and knows she has no business in a place like this but there is something about her he can’t resist. So he gives her a chance. When he picks his son up from kindergarten he discovers his newest employee is also his son’s teacher. Initially I thought this was just another bad boy falling for his son’s teacher. This story was so much more. A slow burn of emotions but just hold on to your hats. The author was very clever as to how she weaved this story to an apex that had this reader blown away. I can say I definitely didn’t see any of that coming. What I started thinking was an ok story hit another gear and went from slow burn to full on inferno. All I can say is I didn’t see that plot twist coming. I have read several books by this author and I have never been letdown. The author surely didn’t let me down this time. This story gets a 4.5 based on the twist. Just blew my mind. Looking forward to the next book in the series.
