Taken Bride: A Dark Romance (The Secret Bride #3) by Alta Hensley is the conclusion to Christopher and Ember’s story.  Picking up where book 2 left off, Ember realizes her predicament .  Papa Rich and the Scarecrow are there to take her away. Christopher’s mother tracked them down to take her away and when she thought she was losing her mind she now knows it was a plan. With Christopher’s mother planting negative thoughts about why Ember is no good for Christopher she leaves with Papa Rich. When Christopher comes back from his trip and realizes Ember is gone, he than begins to finally see how deceitful his mother really is. Christopher finally owns his part of how he let Ember down and is now determined to get her back and do things differently concerning her feelings.  Ember now finds herself in a dilapidated chapel with her captives and two other women held hostage. This story was not as good as the previous two books and the story was a little anticlimactic. Of course the sex between Christopher and Ember was hotter than ever despite their surroundings. Their journey to a happily ever after was sweet and Christopher made good on his promise. I also got the feeling that the introduction of Isaac maybe a set up for a new book. Upon saying that I am curious as to what is his story. I give this story 3.5 stars.
