Lita’s Book Review:
Net Worth by Amelia Wilde. Mason is a bitter powerful businessman who has now decided to get revenge on Cyprus Van Kempt for what he did to his family. Charlotte Van Kempt is Cyprus’ daughter and is part of Mason’s plan. Charlotte is trying to keep her family business afloat due to her father’s alcoholism. Having to put her fashion dreams on hold she is busy trying to keep a roof over their heads and food in their stomachs. She knows if she can get the company’s big project completed she can restore her family business. Mason has stopped her at every turn and has proposed her a bailout. What she comes to find out is her body is part of the deal. I struggled with this deal. Mason was good to his family but was dark and had every intention on humiliating Charlotte. I struggled with my feelings towards Mason. I felt so bad for Charlotte. Personally I would have walked away from it all. Her parents were a real piece of work. I however was very interested in Mason’s siblings and how he came to his knee being injured. Seeing Leo and Hades was a treat because I really enjoyed both their series by this author. If you haven’t read them please do. You will not be disappointed. This story did end on a cliffhanger; it is because of this cliffhanger that I will continue on with this series. I hope the next book is better and pulls me in. I know Mason and Charlotte like each other regardless of the circumstances between them. A 3 star read for me.
