Lita’s Book Review: 4 Stars

Dark Destiny (Black Hood MC #5) by Avelyn Paige and Geri Glen. This story opens up with Stone Face getting himself arrested for stealing a cop car, being intoxicated and leading the police on a slow speed chase. Absolutely comical. However his reasoning for wanting to get arrested are not. He wants to kill someone in the county jail that did something to someone he loves. Finding out what happened and to who and why is part of the story. Not wanting any blow back on the MC he initially has decided not to accept their visits or their help. Delilah is a good hearted person who runs the town animal rescue shelter. She also runs a program at the county jail where she meets Stone Face. The attraction between Stone Face and Delilah is instantaneous. Seeing an almost 7 foot bald guy caring for a small dog is not only comical but cute. Stone Face’s intentions joining the animal program was to get close to his mark however he didn’t plan on falling for Delilah and he definitely didn’t expect her to fall for him. I can say that I read this story in no time. The story was over before I knew it. Of course other members of the MC were in this story. Nice to see familiar faces. Stone Face and Delilah’s story was not only cute but comical with a strong dose of seriousness. I really enjoyed their journey. I especially liked Buddy and would love to see more of him. The end of the book was a segway to the next book in the series. I look forward to where these 2 authors will take the next story. 4 stars for me.
