We couldn’t agree on anything. So Levi made me a proposal. One he thought I would surely lose. If I could sell out the place by the time he had to leave for training at the end of summer, he would back off and let me run it.

But in the weeks that followed, we got more than we bargained for while we were living under the same roof.

Levi and I got closer, and before I knew it, my nightly fantasies about the brawny Adonis became a reality. Not to mention, he was so great with my son.

We were in over our heads in more ways than one.

Because not only was he the last man on Earth I should be falling for because of our deal, but Levi was also my ex’s older brother.

And now the inn was the least of my problems.

Presley moved back to her home town with her son, Alex, to give him a better childhood then he would have received in NYC. While there she is fixing up the house that was left to her son and his uncle, Levi, by her ex’s father. With no love between Presley and Levi, they did not see eye to eye on selling or keeping the house. Levi Miller comes from a family of NFL players, his dad played in the NFL, he played and his little brother played in the NFL until he was injured and couldn’t play anymore. He was not happy to split his dad’s house with Presley who was no longer with his younger brother after his injury. After trying to convince her to sell the house and failing, Levi spent the summer with Presley and Max. He quickly learned that things are not what his little brother told the family. Presley is more than he expected and the more time he spent with her the more he felt drawn to her. Presley couldn’t understand why Levi was so cold to her but after a few talks she realized that her ex, Tanner, didn’t tell the truth about their breakup. The more time Presley spent around Levi the more her attraction to him grew. Will Presley and Levi give in to their desires or will they be able to walk away from each other to avoid hurting Tanner?

I enjoyed reading this book. The chemistry between Levi and Presley was hot! While I could not put the book down, I was a little frustrated with Presley when it came to Tanner, I understood her reasoning. I did feel bad for Levi at times because of the situation Presley was in due to her ex. I’ll be honest, I did not like Levi’s mom AT ALL! I just wanted to throw something at her until the end when she finally started to act right.

I always feel like a broken record when it comes to Ward and Keeland’s books. They are always good! I have never read a bad book from either author. I will always recommend their book to EVERYONE no matter their preference because I can’t imagine anyone feeling the opposite.

Well Played by Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward is the story of Presley a single mother who has found herself back in her hometown. Her son’s grandfather left him half owner of his B&B and Presley has decided that she would like to restore the property and open it up. The problem is her baby daddy /ex fiancee’s brother owns the other half. Levi wants to sell the B&B. His dilemma is he just needs to convince Presley to go along with his plan. Unfortunately the two are at odds and compound that with what happened between Presley and Levi’s brother Tanner, the two are not cozy. However as they spend time together and the truth comes out regarding Tanner’s role in the ending of the relationship between him and Presley, a sexual tension develops between Levi and Presley. Between Presley and Tanner fighting over what to do with the inn and dealing with the possible blow back if they were to pursue a relationship gave root for a good story with the sexual tension of a four alarm fire. The struggle is real for them and when Tanner decides he wants his family back, oh boy. Let the deception begin. I really enjoy these two author’s stories. This story was good but it wasn’t as funny as their previous books. Still a good story. Loved the characters. Fern was a hoot. The ending of this story was even better. A 4 star read for me.
