Twisted Obsession is an Underworld Kings series book that is a standalone. The Underworld Kings series has been written by various authors that each book is tied together by a location. These books do not need to be read in any particular order. This series has allowed me to read authors that I have read and new to me authors.
Dani Rene is a fairly new to me author. Although, I have been promoting her books on my blog for a while now. I just havenโt read many of her books. I do love reading dark stories and it was great to read this one.
This book is Enzo and Lunaโs story. Theirs is an arranged marriage and there is an age gap of 15 years. I loved Lunaโs spunk. Even at such a young age of 18 she is spunky and full of sass. Enzo has known he will marry her for a while and has been following her since she was 15. Now that she is 18 it is time to marry.
I have to say that this book is pretty dark and has some gruesome parts to it and yet it was sexy too. What does that say about me for loving this book? Haha!
Twisted Obsession is a great edition to this Underworld Kings Universe. I am looking forward to more books by this author and also to this series.

Twisted Obsession (Underworld Kings Series) by Dani Rene. Enzo is the Underboss to his father, who he now sees stabbed to death along with his mother. Being true to the family business at hand, Enzo goes to get the final instructions upon his father’s death. What he finds has him twisted. Enzo find a contract of marriageย between him and the daughter of his family archenemy and the people he feels responsible for his parent’s murder. Enzo had no intention of getting married at all and his bride is still a child. Till than stepping into his father’s shoes and seeking revenge is the order of business for Enzo. Luna finds out that upon her 18th birthday she is to marry the son of the person responsible for her father’s death. Devastated by the news, Luna has always lived the Underworld life and knows as a princess her role.ย However Enzo is the enemy and 15 years her senior, regardless to the fact he is handsome as sin she is still not happy. To add insult to injury she knows Enzo hates her and will neverย see her as a true wife and equal. What Luna doesn’t know is Enzo has been watching her for awhile and has had a secret obsession with her. The interaction between Enzo and Luna is one of a thin between love and hate. Each one is having an internal battle with the feelings they have. Their back and forth made for a good story with the added twist of life in the Underworld and the betrayal that happens. There was some definite surprises. This book truly took me to the true Mafia Underworld will all it’s grit and grime with a taste of love. There were also some characters that I would love to see get their own book. 4 stars for me.
