โWhat?โ I asked after Iโd taken a sip from my drink.ย
โNone of my other bodyguards would ever drink on the job.โ
โIโm not really your bodyguard,โ I said quietly. The meeting with Giovanni made me resent this charade even more. I wanted to claim Marcella as mine in front of everyone.ย
โWhat are you then?โ She stepped closer, an almost challenging gleam in her eyes. I could feel the eyes of half the people in the room settling on us, even the few that hadnโt paid us any attention before.ย
โYour noble servant, Snow White,โ I said with a wry smile and took another nip from my drink. I had only eyes for the woman in front me now and the way she looked at me, like she considered me hers as much as I considered her mine.ย
She shook her head, taking another step closer. โMore.โ
โIโm more, or you want more?โ I asked.ย
โBoth,โ she said quietly, stopping right in front of me. Now we had the attention of pretty much the entire room.ย
โKiss me,โ she said, taking me by surprise. Not that I hadnโt been thinking about doing it.
โYou sure? Some of these old ladies look as if thatโs more action than they got in years. Theyโll talk shit about you.โ
โI donโt care what they say. You are my man and weโve hidden it for too long. Iโm sick of bowing to their whims, of being a slave to their rules, of hiding. If my family can accept us, then they better do.โ
โSnow White, if we do this, I wonโt ever let you go. Iโll be yours till I die. You can have my heart, my soul, my life, and everything else you want from me.โ
โIโll take them all,โ she said haughtily before her face softened and those luscious lips pulled into a smile.ย
I set the glass down, wrapped one arm around Marcellaโs slim waist and kissed her, and not a chaste kiss either. I laid my claim on the princess of New York before all of their judgmental eyes, hoping theyโd choke on their shock.ย
The kiss lasted only for a couple of heartbeats, a fleeting moment in time, but with consequences for the rest of our lives.

By Sin I Rise: Part Two is the conclusion of Maddox White and Marcella Vitielloโs story.
Maddox found it hard to make it into the Vitielloโs family. He and Marcella have quite a love story going on but her family has a hard time accepting him in.
Yes, he kidnapped her in book one and fell in love with her. Now he is trying to prove himself. While Marcella is also trying to prove to her family that she is alright and that Maddox is the one that she wants.
While I enjoyed reading this book it didnโt quite give me the same feels for this book as it did for Part One. Although, I did need the conclusion to Maddox and Marcellaโs story and I got my HEA.
