I did a bad thing. I kissed my professor, and I liked it.

A lot.

Lita’s Book Review: 4 Stars

Forbidden Crown (Savage Heirs #4) by Jagger Cole is the story of Bastian Pierce. He lives a hard and fast life that has caught up with him. Inorder to get out of the mess he is in he has to do something that has him drinking even more.ย  One night he hooks up with a much younger girl barely legal when he finds out the young lady in question is the daughter of the lady he has to marry. Julianna’s life is one she hates living. Her father is accused of stealing a lot of money from his hedge fund clients and her mother is a cold uncaring socialite. Out one night on the town Julianna hooks up with an older gentleman. Later in the evening at dinner with her mother she finds out the guy she hooked up with is not only her mother’s soon to be husband but her new English teacher at her prestigious school. This story is book 4 but can be read as a standalone. I started this series with book 3 which I enjoyed and is the reason I read this book. This story was good as well. Bastian not only has to deal with his hot mess of a life and the trouble he has gotten himself into but his feelings for his soon to be step daughter. And to add insult to injury he has to teach a bunch of kids he despises while dealing with his feelings for Julianna too. Their close proximity made for some real sexual tension. Inspite of their apparent age difference they couldn’t seem to stay away from each other. Julianna not only has to deal with her feelings for her mother’s fiancee but she has a stalker at the school. There are quite a few things going on in this story that kept me occupied and interested. Bastian and Julianna were hot and spicy. The game they were playing was a dangerous one. That danger was what made this story more interesting. I am curious where the author will go from here. A 4 star read for me.

A reader first and foremost, Jagger Cole cut his romance writing teeth penning various fan-fiction stories years ago. After deciding to hang up his writing boots, Jagger worked in advertising pretending to be Don Draper. It worked enough to convince a woman way out of his league to marry him, though, which is a total win.

Now, Dad to two little princesses and King to a Queen, Jagger is thrilled to be back at the keyboard.

When not writing or reading romance books, he can be found woodworking, enjoying good whiskey, and grilling outside–rain or shine.
