Dirty Ledger is the second book in the Dark Pen series. Dex and Katja from the first book, Devilโs Contract and was Dex and Katjaโs story. I love to be able to revisit other characters that I have read about.
Dirty Ledger is Rowan Worthington, she is a social influencer, and she had a stalker trap her in her hotel room in The Whitney. The Stalker is now dead and the rest of the story unfolds. Z is a cleaner. Meaning that he comes in to clean up dead bodies. So there is no evidence of whatever happened.
BTW Dirty Ledger has some pretty gory scenes and this book may have some triggers to watch for.
I really enjoyed reading Dirty Ledger and these 2 authors are tops in my book! Hopefully they have written more stories together and I know that I canโt wait for Book 3.
Dangerous Notes is Book 3 in the Dark Pen Series. You can easily read these books as standalones. But I think you would get more enjoyment reading the whole story.

Dirty Ledger: A Dark Romantic Suspense (Dark Pen Series Book 2) by Alta Hensley is Z’s story. When Rowan comes back to The Whitney after a night on the town, she never thought she would be attacked and have to fight for her life. Z comes to help Rowan navigate a life she never imagined but is part of Z’s life. Rowan has been trying to catch his eye. He is one bad boy she wants a taste of and Z would love to have a chance with Rowan. He knows she is out of his league. Now he has to keep her safe and alive. She has been bought into his world based on her actions. I liked this story. It was a pleasure getting to know Z and his life story. Getting to see Rowan evolve as she realizes her plight and how she adapts, made for a good story. An addition to this story was seeing the interaction between Z and Rowan and how their feelings for each other developed.ย A 4 star read for me.
