I am a Sovereign Son. A king within The Society.
With a look I send men to their knees.
Yet she stands tall against me, taunting me with her rebellion.
But we all have rules we must live by.
And I have broken the most sacred.
I took her to my bed.
I claimed that which did not belong to me.
And now that the beast within has had a taste, it wants more.
Her Rebellion by A. Zavarelli
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Her Rebellion is the second and of course the middle book in The Rite Trilogy, which I already know means, cliffhanger!
“Judge” Lawson Montgomery and Mercedes De La Rosa’s story continues. Mercedes has been sent to Judge for her correction/punishment. She was involved in things. Yes I know that sounds vague. But I don’t want to give the story away.
I knew going into this story that it was the middle book in this trilogy so I knew there would be a cliffhanger and it’s a doozy of one!
It still doesn’t help. I saw that I was getting to the end of this book and I kept having to look because I didn’t want the book to end!
This is such a good series! And I don’t think the last book will be here soon enough for me! Fortunately The Reign will be here in June! This was a 5 star read for me! It kept my attention all the way, from beginning to end!
Lita’s Book Review: 4.5 Stars
Her Rebellion (The Rite Trilogy Book 2) by Natasha Knight picks up where book 1 left off. After tending to Mercedes injuries Judge is still struggling with his feelings. Mercedes wants Judge but he is accepting the demons of his life with his grandfather. He doesn’t want to carry on his bloodline so he has decided to fight his feelings for Mercedes. There is just one problem. Because Judge can’t keep his hands, mouth and manhood out of Mercedes there is a surprise. The journey that Mercedes is on and the things she has been going through is making her stronger. She has a decision to make and now she has more than herself to think about. As Judge is fighting himself, he now has to clean up his brother’s mess along with keeping Mercedes safe. Her actions from earlier are coming back to bite her in the butt. So looking forward to the final book in this trilogy. This was 4.5 stars for me. Can’t wait to see all that is going to unfold in the next book.
Bettina’s Book Review: 4 Stars
I enjoyed reading Her Rebellion so much that I finished it in one day. I could not put it down. I needed to know what would happen next. With this said, I felt like in this book I got to know Judge a little better. Do I know all of him, I don’t feel like I do but more than I did before. I am still rooting for his HEA even if he’s not. I liked Mercedes’ friends because they didn’t stop trying to find her. Even when things didn’t add up and all their efforts was stopped dead in its tracks they still kept trying. I’m still on the fence about Mercedes. I like her but I don’t know if can trust her. I am looking forward to the final book and Santiago’s reaction! Lol.
