Quintessentially The One by Aleatha Romig is a cute love story about Kandace and Dax. He spends his summer in Riverbend at his grandparent’s house. He and Kandace are an item when he comes to town. They are each other’s first however their futures where never going in the same direction. Kandace is content staying in her hometown and making it a fabulous place to live. Dax has always known eventhough he loves Kandace he wants to follow in his mother’s footsteps and be a hot Chicago lawyer. After years apart Dax comes back to execute his grandmother’s will where he finds he has not only left the love of his life behind but the daughter he never knew he had. I couldn’t get enough of this story.ย I loved it. I finished the ARC in no time. I started and finished it as soon as I got it. There is something about a secret love baby story that touches me in a way that I am left with a big fat smile on my face. Dax is a good looking stand up guy who had no intention of breaking Kandace’s heart. Kandace is a strong willed woman who was determined to raise her child on her own. Dax did say he loved her and that he would be back. His grandmother’s death and stipulations was the push he needed. Kudos to the author. A 5 star read for me.

I totally fell in love with this second-chance, secret baby romance!
Dax is an attorney in Chicago but grew up in this small Indiana town. He returns because grandma has died and she had a little shop called Quintessential Treasures. Grandma left it to Kandace with some stipulations. So Dax returned to Riverbend to figure out why grandma left the store to Kandace.
This was a wonderfully fun and sexy romance. I fell in love with Dax, Kandace, Molly and of course grandma Ruth!
