Beast (Beast and Beauty #1) by Clarissa Wild is a dark and demented story loosely based on the fairytale Beauty and The Beast. Aurora finds herself hiding while her house is under attack. When it looks like her father is about to be killed she intervenes. Saving herself results in her father escaping and her being captured.ย Beast was sold into a life no person should have to endure. Caged like a dog and groomed to be a killer. When beast fails his mission he brings back his mark”s daughter. Now Aurora and Beast are living in his cage. At times this was a tough read for me.ย My heart went out to both Beast and Aurora.ย I can’t wait to read book 2. Definitely a 5 star read for me. The interaction between Beast and Aurora was everything.ย What started out as Aurora being scared to death turned into something sweet and tender.ย And when secrets and truths were revealed I really was excited for the next book. I want to see where Beast and Aurora go from here. Most importantly I want to know if the people who have held Beast get what they truly deserve. Love Beast and hope he gets his happily ever after.ย There is more to know about both Aurora and Beast. So happy there isn’t much time till book 2 is released.ย Yes!!!

This is a dark romance with all the triggers someone might have! Get ready you have been warned!
I read this book in one go and I have a love/dislike thing going on. Beast is treated like an animal. He is a trained killer. Aurora, is an innocent and has been offered to Beast.
As far as my love for this book, it captivated me! I wasnโt able to stop reading but then I felt like I might be heading into a train wreck, it turned out to only be a cliffhanger.
I disliked this book for the way that Beast was treated. Not for the way the book was written! I was kept enthralled in the happenings of this story.
I really need the next book, Beauty!!! And I need it now! 5 STARS
