Promises We Meant To Keep by Monica Murphy. Sylvie has had to deal with a smothering mother and a sickly childhood. Sylvie has had an issue with her past and if what she thought happened is true. When Spencer her older brother’s bestfriend comes into her life, things changed. They both share something special. This story was something else. Spencer and Sylvie experienced things without taking it to far. Each comes from to different worlds but at school they are just two teenagers. Sylvie has a whole set of issues which has made people in her inner circle question her honesty. Spencer has a always had a thing for her but when she commits the ultimate betrayal their life takes a bizarre turn. Boy oh boy Sylvie’s mother was a real trip. Sylvie’s life and struggle made for a real page turner. The ending was definitely something else. Certainly didn’t see that coming.ย A really good story. Can Spencer and Sylvie find their happily ever after after it is all said and done. 4 stars for me.
