Flawed is the second book I have read written by Francette Phal. The first book I read by her was Monster and I have to tell you that book and this was tough. If you are looking for heart and flowers this is not the book for you, but if you are looking for a book with a good storyline and told in such a way you are want to know more, this is the book for you.
Lacey is a 12th grader who has aspirations to go to an Ivy League college and then Medical School. The only problem is she is the daughter of an addicted prostitute living in deplorable conditions. She has an older brother who is always getting in trouble and to help her obtain her dream she is a prostitute herself. When her brother gets in trouble he cannot get out of. Lacey sacrifices herself to try and save her brother. The only problem is she has agreed to give herself to Knox, who is a psychotic serial killer hit man for the Russian mob. The things Knox does to her are enough to make a grown person cringe.
With that being said put your big girl panties on, fasten your seat belt and be prepared to take a ride through tortureville. By the end of Flawed I was once again “clutching my pearls”. I didn’t see this ending coming and I tell you guys to pay attention to what going on. Flawed is a good “sick” read. Can’t wait for the next book in this series to find out what Knox will do to get his Lacey back.
