Meet Lita Michelle Bartlett Thomas, the newest member of TaSTy WordGasms
Hello everyone my name is Lita Michelle Bartlett Thomas. I use my whole name so those people I have met along the way would still be able to find me. I am a 53 year old wife, mother of 3 and grandmother of 3. I have been married for almost 14 years. My children are Jonathan-31, Randy Jr. – 23 and Destiny- 18. I had another son Philip who died of crib death when he was 2 months old. If he had lived he would be 28 years old.
I am originally from a little town called Port Chester New York and now reside in Fayetteville North Carolina where I have lived for the past 18 years. I work for Home Depot and have been with them for over 20 years. I have had many jobs with the company but presently work as the back office associate. What that really means is I am an administrative assistant/ bookkeeper. While at the Home Depot, the job has allowed me to obtain a degree in Psychology and a Masters in Counseling Studies.
I have always been a reader but my love had been sidetracked by life, children and returning back to school. I was reintroduced to reading by 2 stories. Fifty Shades of Grey and The Twilight Saga. Since that time, I started reading actual books and than switched to e reading.
In the last couple of months I was given the opportunity to become a reviewer to a blog with some ladies I have met due to our love for a particular author. Our relationship has now evolved into so much more. I have now been exposed to many different authors and different styles of story telling. I am really enjoying myself and I hope the reviews I post help you to find books that you too will also enjoy.
Nikki’s Notes on Lita
I first met Lita through the same book group as the other gals. She was always quick with a good morning, kind word and I could feel her smile through the Facebook page. Last fall, Lita contacted me and said she was coming to Ft. Lauderdale to attend the Wicked Book Weekend event and asked if we could get together. This past February Lita and I met and spent hung out together during the event. Lita makes me laugh and teases that I am trouble (at least I think she’s teasing.). We met again when we got together with a bunch of other friends from the same FB group and stayed 18 in a cabin in the mountains for three days. Each morning Lita woke with a smile and once again, made me laugh. When I am near Lita I just feel the peace and strength that consumes her heart. I’m so happy to have met this truly lovely lady and to call her dear my friend! We will once again be together in February for the same book event (WBW) only this time we will be representing TaSTy WordGasms and I will already know that my time will be spent with a wonderful friend.
