Growing up in a military family, Tinklee never wanted to be anything but a fighter pilot in the US Air Force. Following in their father’s footsteps, she and her older brother do just that! With flying in her blood, Tink becomes the first woman to fly the acclaimed F-35 as well as the youngest fighter pilot in the USAF, proving that she’s no dizzy blond.

When a tragic accident takes the life of Jamie’s beloved older brother, Tink’s world is rocked. Her focus turns from being the best fighter pilot in the USAF to proving Colin died because of equipment failure and not pilot error as the reports say. Will her quest give her the answers she seeks or uncover a hidden problem?

Lt. Locke Sinclair of the British Royal Air Force, comes to the states as part of a Joint Strike Fighter team to become a flight instructor for the F-35. He never intended to do anything more than teach other pilots to fly the F-35 and get in some time on the stick himself. When Lt. Sinclair (aka Duke) finds a distracted, upset blond pixie on the beach, he realizes Karma has just thrown his life into a tailspin. It’s clear the fates have a different path for him when he enters the squadron to teach his first class.

As the story unfolds and world politics heat up, Tink looses faith in herself and her future as a pilot. It’s up to Duke and the rest of the team to help her get her mojo back. Will Duke be able to convince Tink that she belongs in the cockpit pulling G’s? Or will she leave it all behind as Karma ratchets her into uncertainty?

Call Sign Karma, while a great love story, also gives the reader a healthy dose of action in the form of aerial dogfights, covert missions and misadventures. This book offers a mix of emotions from laughter to tears and from lust to disgust. Author Jamie Rae really takes you through the full range of emotions in the life of Tinklee Pinkerton and her comrades in arms.

As the proud daughter-in-law of a USN fighter pilot and the proud aunt of two USAF Airmen, I couldn’t wait to read this story. I was intrigued by the prospect of a first class female fighter pilot. Let me just say, Call Sign Karma did not let me down! I found myself sucked into the book and turning the e-page to find out what Karma has in store for Tinklee. Thanks to Jamie Rae for giving us a badass leading lady to read. I really enjoyed Call Sign Karma and I rate it 4.5 O’s!

***I was given an ARC of this book for an honest review.
