The Young and the Submissive picks up right where One Dom to Love left off. Raine finds herself faced with having to make a choice between her longstanding love for Hammer and the new feelings shes developing for Liam. Each man bringing with him the power and desire that heats her core.

There is one major hurdle that Raine must overcome, their jealousy!

Hammer has years of pent up resentment towards his “best friend”, Liam. Will he be able to let go of the past to help Raine become the sub he needs her to be? Or will his ire destroy all that Raine has tried to become?

When Liam thought up this “brilliant” plan to train Raine, he never imagined her embedding herself so deeply in his heart. Now, he can’t imagine his life without her. The problem is she still burns deep for his old pal Hammer. Can Liam overcome his jealousy of Hammer and allow himself to give into her needs? If he can’t he may lose the one thing he has come to cherish most, Raine.

Seeing that her love for these two Alphas is destroying them, Raine decides to leave Shadows, the only place she feels safe. Her efforts to strike out on her own carry her to the last person she expected would save her, Beck the sadist. Beck takes her under his wing and gives her the space and offers the advise she needs to begin to rebuild herself. Realizing she must repair herself, Raine takes her past by the balls and makes positive steps toward her future. Where will her newfound strength and courage carry her?

Is Raine strong enough to ask for what she wants and except nothing less? Can Hammer and Liam look beyond their needs to see what really matters, healing Raine?

I really enjoyed the larger part that beck played in this book, he turned out to be an excellent mentor for Raine. I hope that we see more of Beck in the coming book(s). The addition of Seth (Liam’s friend from NY) throws a new twist in the story, at one point Hammer and Liam were acting so foolish, I hoped Raine would chose the other two Doms to train her.

As with the first book, i really enjoyed this story and found much of it scorchingly hot! These three authors certainly have a way of spinning a spicy tale. I am rating The Young and Submissive a 4.5 O’s not because i found it lacking but because I wished it hadn’t ended so abruptly. Thank goodness I don’t have long to wait for the next book.
