Stars: 5.0 OOOOO’s (O’s for Orgasms)
Synopsis:
The first full length Gypsy Brothers novel from the smash hit author Lili St. Germain.
How much is a life worth?
I grew up in Colombia, the daughter of a wealthy drug lord. I lived a life of extravagance, until one day a drug run went horribly wrong and everything came crashing down around us.
I was given away. A payment for a debt. The Gypsy Brothers Motorcycle Club became my new owners, and I did everything I could to survive.
But falling in love with the man who owned me wasn’t part of the plan…
Tanya Rae’s Review:
Cartel is a prequel to the Gypsy Brothers Series. I had to keep reminding myself that since I had read the Gypsy Brothers series first and know what happens in that series. Dornan isn’t a nice guy exactly in Cartel but, he is a much nicer guy than in the Gypsy Brothers series and it was interesting to see him as he was in Cartel. And, he was definitely more loveable in Cartel. I can’t say more because I don’t do spoilers. And, I feel you as the reader can read the synopsis so I shouldn’t have to tell you about this story and I should just give you my feelings about Cartel.
I did not want to put Cartel down once I started reading. (although life does have it’s own way and I had to go to work) but, immediately picked it up and started reading it again once I was home. The story line just grabbed me and sucked me in. I loved the ending it was a sort of a cliffhanger but, not in a bad way you just know Marianna & Dornan’s story will continue in Kingpin. I give Cartel 4.5 OOOOO’s (O’s for Orgasms).

Note from Tanya Rae:
Now I am going to do something that I have never done before and talk about a comment on Goodreads that I responded to. It was on a reviewers 1.5 star comment about Cartel and all I said was “(I think I must have read a different book than you did!)” She responded with ” This is my opinion and you have yours. ” I was about to go back and say that is true but, found myself blocked from saying anything else. And, of course that is her option. I just thought it was very rude of her to block me from making any more comments. I do know there are people that would get into verbal/written spars and I am not one of them but, she doesn’t know that. I respect all comments made and I never want to abuse anyone but, again she doesn’t know that or me.
I also find that I read books because of 1 star reviews so they never bother me and would love all ” Authors” to know that 1 star reviews aren’t all bad and they can drive people like me to buy their books as much as 5 star reviews can. Okay so that is my opinion and my soapbox moment and I hope you all forgive me for it.
Tanya
