I do not glorify bad things, but bad things do happen to my poor characters. This is not your typical love story. My heroine does not fall in love and live happily ever after… at least not like the typical heroine. There is a happily ever after, but it is a long, painful journey to that end.
This book will likely offend you. This book might make you cry; it might make you throw up. It is a dark book. As my friend, Heidi, said, “It’s dark. It gets darker. It gets even darker, and then it gets even more darker. And then, just when you think it can’t get any darker, it does.”
But, don’t worry. I take you to the deep end gradually. 😉
There are many sexual situations in this series of books. People die. People get hurt. Things aren’t always truly the way they appear. The antagonist isn’t just a bad guy; he’s EVIL. My heroine’s worldview is skewed; things that may appall you are perfectly normal to her.
Any violence in this book is non-gratuitous and crucial to the plot and character development.

5.0 ★✩★✩★’s – While I was reading Ensnared, The Life of Anna #4 towards the end of the book I started feeling this anxiety because I just knew there was going to be a cliffhanger and guess what I was right there is. I knew there had to be because this is the next to the last book in this series.
I am a huge fan of Marissa Honeycutt’s! This book is so twisted and evil in a good way. Make sure you read the warning below because this book and series is not for the faint of heart! Devin is a Devil and he owns Anna and how Anna keeps on going I don’t know. Well I do know it is because she is only half immortal & half human & an full blooded immortal keeps putting her back together. Because no one could keep getting up and recovering from all that was done to her. Enough of that I don’t do spoilers. I love this book.
This was another book in this series that I couldn’t put down until I finished it! I did start reading Ensnared last night just before I went to work. Of course that was a mistake because I kept having to sneak peaks at it while at work. I barely put this book down today I only to eat, to work and then back to reading! Did I say that Marissa was a sick and twisted author? 🙂
I have loved this whole series and of course can’t wait until the next book I hopefully don’t have to wait too long! Note: This is not a standalone book!

Over the next year and a half, it morphed into the story that is now known as “The Life of Anna.” She has several other stories in progress, one of which is based on her kidnapped dream.
When she’s not writing or editing, Marissa is taking care of two young boys, training to be an astronaut, running her household, wrestling with gorillas, playing around on Facebook, promoting whirled peas, and busting her tush for her accounting degree.
