Book Description: Secrets and demons from Evan Lawson’s past pull this strong man to the edge of death where only the whispers of a mysterious voice can penetrate his darkness.
A young woman dedicating her entire life to her career and family comes face to face with a heart stopping magnetic man who has the power to make all of her dreams come true or completely destroy her.
Evan is a self made world renowned restaurant mogul who is cold and distant, pushing anyone attempting to enter his life away with intensity. Until the night he hears Mia Galloway’s soft alluring voice calling to him through the murky waters of his unconsciousness.
Love is a foreign notion that neither Mia nor Evan had ever planned on, in fact both had sworn it off entirely. After going through a horrifying kidnapping at the age of 19 Mia made a conscious decision to never get involved with a man….ever. She has dedicated her life to healing others and loving her family and friends. Evan and his demons from the past have shaped him into the dominant, controlling cruel man he is today. The scars from his childhood run deep and the memories of a tormented mother and a father in denial of his wife’s illness bind him emotionally and make him believe he is incapable of love.
Evan and Mia are thrown together in the ICU after he drives his car over the edge of a bridge, killing his passenger immediately. Evan was rushed to a private Seattle hospital where Mia is his nurse. She works at drawing him from his coma but has no idea who she is actually summoning. The man who went over the bridge in that car, the man known to his family and co-workers as “The Beast” teeters on the brink of death, ready and willing to make his way to hell. But when he feels the magnetic pull of Mia’s presence, hears her luring whispers, feels the electric voltage of her touch on his skin…..he knows….he’s not going anywhere…..not until he can see the face that belongs to his savior’s voice…..

Review by Shannon P.
Oh my holy hotness! I just finished Dark Kiss by Amy Lynn Garcia and I loved it!! I really enjoyed the whole premise of this storyline…a nurse and patient falling for each other under such unusual circumstances. I thought the flow of the story was so smooth and I was drawn in immediately.
Mia is the nurse assigned to care for Evan while he’s in a coma from a car accident. She feels an incredible draw to him and she just can’t understand it. Evan feels it too (even while unconscious). Upon his awakening, there is no denying their attraction to each other and Evan wants to move their relationship out of the hospital. And what Evan wants, Evan gets. Their interactions are so steamy, I could almost see the smoke coming from my kindle.
I give this book 4.5 stars and I cannot wait to read what’s next for Mia and Evan.
About the Author:
Amy Lynn Garcia was born and raised in West Des Moines Iowa where she continues to live with her family. Amy works in a local hospital as an obstetrical nurse specializing in the care of high risk pregnant women. Amy is also the proud mother of five daughters and grandma of one granddaughter. In early 2014 after reading upwards of 300 romance novels in a years time a coworker planted the seed of writing her own novel. Never having written anything but always up for new challenges she decided to give it a whirl and wrote a synopsis for what eventually became Dark Kiss. She showed it to several friends and asked if it would be something they might be interesting in reading, the response was a resounding “Yes!” from everyone. With that confidence booster she began writing and in the fall published her first romance novel Dark Kiss which is the first in The Two Sides of Me trilogy. Dark Thief, book two was completed and published in January of 2015 and the final installment Dark Love is currently in the works and will be released in the spring of 2015. “I never imagined writing a novel let alone a romance novel! I’m addicted to sharing the feeling I used to get when reading my favorite books and I can’t imagine my life without writing now.” Amy says she will always work as a nurse in some aspect but after releasing the story of Evan and Mia there is no way she can deny the compulsion to develop new characters and write romance novels.
