 Synopsis

A STEPBROTHER ROMANCE

Intended for mature audiences only

I met him before I knew.

I loved him before I knew.

I didn’t know he was my stepbrother when I fell for Bladen. I fell for a
mystery guy who I spent a long, amazing weekend with. Then he got up and left me, without even a goodbye. I was nothing more than a bit of fun.

He broke my heart.

I didn’t see him again.

Until my mom and her new husband, Jack, decide to take us all on a family vacation to the lake so I can meet my new stepbrothers for the first time.

I don’t see it coming.

When he gets out of that car, my world stops. My passionate lover is…my stepbrother.

He isn’t the same man. He’s a prick and he makes sure I know it.

I’m not the same woman. I’m in love with him and I very much plan to make sure he knows it.

He won’t make my life easy. I won’t give up.

Review by Lita Thomas:
Step Lover by Bella Jewel is a well written story of two people who meet and after a period of time find out they are now step brother and sister. The story was told in a way that I found absolutely enjoyable. The author unfolds the story by going back and forth between the present and the past when they first met.
Aria has had a hard life, at an early age she was involved in a car accident that killed both her father and her sister. She constantly has to deal with the image of her dead sister looking at her when Aria closes her eyes. Trying to live a normal life, one night before she is getting ready to go to college she decides to go out to the club where she meets a stranger who she ends up spending a steamy weekend. Waking up on Sunday the guy who she has made a connection with has not only up and gone leaving her in the bed alone but she never knew his name.
One year later she looks goes on a vacation to meet her mother’s new husband’s sons who have been living with their mother. Imagine her surprise to see one of the brothers is the guy she spent that weekend with that not only took her virginity but stole her heart. Step Lover is their story. I truly enjoyed Aria and Blade’s ups and downs.
A really good story, told really well. I give this story 4.5 O’s

Shannon’s review:
I just finished Step-Lover and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with it. I was a little concerned at the beginning just based on the title of the book, but Bella Jewell hooked me in right from the start. I couldn’t put the book down. It made me laugh, cry and even fan myself. I felt like I was on an emotional roller coaster, and I honestly didn’t want the ride to ever end. This is the story of Aria and Blade who meet each other and share an incredible weekend together (and never even share their real names with each other). It’s a year later and they find each other again. However, the circumstances are much different. Aria’s mom is now married to Blade’s dad. Can’t you just hear the dramatic music playing when that meeting takes place?  But sometimes you just can’t help who you fall in love with.  “Love finds us for reasons unknown and when it finds us, it latches on.”  Can this relationship work or will it cost their families too much?I have found myself latched onto these characters and can’t wait to see what happens next for all of them. I am giving this book 4 stars.
