Synopsis:
**WARNING** This is not your typical romance. This book is DARK. If you’re expecting this story to end in a happily ever after, this book is NOT for you. Although there are romantic elements, building for further into the series, you will not be swept off your feet by the last sentence. You will most likely be left open-mouthed or cursing me to hell and back. If you like huge doses of obsession, stalking, bloodplay (think, vampire)….then, yes, this book is for you.
There are things that exist that cannot be explained or comprehended. Creatures so terrifying that the human mind refuses to believe the possibility of existence. Romantism of evil can only get you so far—dead.
The stories are there throughout history. The proof is not. At least…until now.
We’re here, moving amongst the shadows. Living beneath the homes and streets you believe are safe. You are not safe. You never were. All the times you looked over your shoulder because you felt you were being watched—hunted—you were.
I am Marko Delacroix and I am not redeemable. None of us are. I am a Master Vampire and the worst kind of man there is alive or dead. I will make you fear me, want me, and then then I will kill you. It is the nature of who we are. Of the game. And yes, to us, this IS a game.
Man versus the undead. The undead versus ourselves.
In a new world of change and acceptance, no one is safe. But they don’t know that yet.
**WARNING #2: This book contains very graphic violence, disturbing situations, and very strong language. Intended for mature audiences.

Tanya Rae’s Review:
| I loved Prey! I have read a few of Alaska Angelini’s books now and I probably love this one the most. I only started reading Vampire books about a year ago. So, I am fairly new to this genre and the more I read the more I love! This story was about Tessa Antoinette and Marko Delacroix. He is a Vampire and she is a human that he has bitten. You take it from there and read the Synopsis :)! I can’t say anything about the ending either because I don’t do spoilers but, damn and yet I was happy it ended that way. Does that sound conflicted? I am and it is. Warning there is a Cliffie at the end. But, it didn’t end the way I thought it would so that is a good thing. Now I have to wait even longer than everyone else because this was an ARC and I got to read it before others. This ARC was received for an honest review and I give Prey 5.0 OOOOO’s (O’s for Orgasms) |
Lita Thomas Review:
Prey by Alaska Angelini writes a story of a vampire like nothing I have ever read before. Marko Delacroix is a rare creature. He a good looking French man who has been around for hundreds of years. He has been a vampire so long he no longer knows what it is like to be a human and is no longer content being a vampire. His existence id dull and mundane. One day while taking a walk thinking about his drab existence he come across a young lady who has stirs something in him.
Tessalyn Antoinette was coming out of church from choir rehearsal. She sparks a fire in Marko and he wants to know more about this human. He draws Tess into his world and she likes it. He is not dealing well with his feelings for her well. He likes her a lot but at the same time he thinks of her as his prey. Tessa is confused with her feelings regarding Marko.
The tale the author writes is exciting and very sexual. I was pleased the direction the author took the story. The ending had me gasping and screaming wow. The next book should be quite the page turner. The synopsis for the book does not give the book justice. I give Prey 4 ½ O’s
I received this ARC for an honest review.

Within the last two years, Alaska and her family have drove across the country twice, and also drove the distance from Texas to California three times. Asked, if she could choose one place to permanently settle down, where would it be, Alaska laughed. “Montana, today. Tomorrow, it may be Alaska, again. I go back and forth.”
When Alaska is not dreaming of spontaneously hitting the road to find a new place to write about, she’s being a mother and wife. If you’re looking to connect with her to learn more, feel free to message or find her on Facebook.
