| OMG I loved Monster Chef! I loved Pierre and Holly and this is a love story! Pierre wasn’t truly a monster just a man that was so hurt by the loss of his wife. So he was like a bear with a thorn in his paw! Holly aka (mon chéri)really knows how to handle Pierre and quickly puts him in his place. I don’t think there will ever be a dull moment between the two of them.Oh and Monster Chef is also very HOT! Talk about passion between Pierre & Holly…. oh my oh my! I loved the phone sex…..I loved the ending of Monster Chef! I can’t tell you because I don’t do spoilers so you will just have to read Monster Chef! Oh and Margaret McHeyzer does that mean there will be more?

Monster Chef by Margaret McHeyzer is Holly and Pierre’s story. Two people who have experienced death but are handling it in very different ways. Holly lost her husband recently and has decided to go back to work. She goes to a restaurant to get a job but ends up with more than she got hired for. The restaurant is nice and she is excited to get back into the work force after being a stay at home mom.
What she didn’t expect was the head chef Pierre. His wife died a few years ago and he is hurt and broken. He is also making everyone in the restaurant miserable right along with himself. Holly is not having it and is not intimidated by Pierre and his verbal wrath. Pierre is curious how this women dare talk to him like that; doesn’t she know who he is. Holly sees Pierre as a spoiled child and knows how to put him in his place. Somewhere along the way their interaction goes from combatants to something else. They are not quite friends but they are not enemies either.
What started out as an abusive chef, belittling everyone in his path to a person who is going through a metamorphosis Pierre is now developing feeling for Holly he has not experienced since his wife.
Their story is sweet but intense. I really enjoyed Pierre and Holly’s interaction. A really good story.
I received this ARC for an honest review.
