Selene Michaels is trying to put the pieces of her life back together after a devastating miscarriage and painful divorce from her childhood sweetheart. She decides she wants to get back into modeling, something she gave up when she got married. Selene has a three-month modeling assignment in Paris, and she has decided to stop being afraid, and have some fun, and maybe have a French fling. Selene is a plus-size model, and has been battling self-esteem and body image issues since she was a child. She’s confident with herself most times, and speaks to young girls about being happy with themselves.Remington St. Germain is a French artist, and a woman’s walking wet dream. After losing his wife in a plane crash a few years prior, Remington’s priority is his son, Adrien. He’s dated a few women, but he feels love just isn’t in the cards for him.When he sees Selene trying to check in at a hotel, he’s immediately drawn to her. When her reservation is lost due to a mix-up, Remington arranges for Selene to stay at his home for the night until she can get into another hotel. He’s going to be traveling out of town, so she’ll have the house all to herself.
Their chemistry is off the charts. After a couple of dates, Selene decides to give into her attraction to Remington, and have a fling for the 3 months she’ll be in Paris. Remington is a perfect gentleman on the outside, but once he and Selene get behind closed doors, his alpha beast is unleashed, and he shows Selene exactly what she’s been missing, and she wants more. Where her ex-husband made her feel bad about her size, Remington treats her like a princess, and adores everything about her, especially her curves.
She meets his son, Adrien, and she’s smitten. Adrien immediately falls for her. As the three of them spend more time together, Remington and Selene’s feelings are getting stronger, and it terrifies them both.
Remington has had a stalker for a few years, who threatens any woman he dates, so he subsequently ends the relationship. This time, he can’t walk away from Selene, so he does his best to protect her. This upsets the stalker, so the threats get more personal, and hit very close to home. Remington knows he should let Selene go for her own safety, but he’s determined to keep her in his life; forever if he has anything to say about it.
This is a beautiful story, with some seriously hot sex, and a few twists I was not expecting.
I fell in love with Remington by the time he and Selene had their first date, and it only grew stronger. A hot, rich, dirty talking Frenchman, with an adorable son? Oui, oui, oui!!
