She owns her own business, and understands that Dom isn’t interested in happily ever after. They see each other between Dom’s assignments. The sex is off the charts, but Shauna craves more from Dom. She sees that he’s a natural Dominant, even if he can’t. She needs to submit to him, and hopes she doesn’t turn him off.Dom always had certain desires, but after being rejected by his wife when he tried to bring them into the bedroom, he just figured there was something wrong with him. He pushed down his urges, but something about Shauna has awakened them. To his surprise, she understands them, and encourages him. Shauna is submissive, but she’s no pushover. That’s one of the things Dom admires about her. She’s a Type-A personality when it comes to her business, and interactions outside the bedroom. Behind closed doors, she wants Dom to run the show.
On the work front, Dom is trying to capture a serial killer. For the first time in his life, his job isn’t the most important thing. Dom starts looking at his life, and hoping he’s not missing out on possibly finding love.
I really enjoyed seeing the Dominant introduced to the BDSM lifestyle by an experienced submissive, as opposed to the other way around. It was exciting to see Dominic discover his true self, and learn to embrace his natural and dark desires. I hope to see Ethan write more full-length novels. You know he can write hot and steamy, but there’s quite a bit of action chasing bad guys. I loved it all.
