Review by Lita Thomas:
Just Once More (Just One Night series) by Kyra Davis is a novella told by the perspective of Robert Dade. The story picks up a little bit after the end of Just One Night. Kasie and Robert still have a very sensual and sexual life. Kasie’s business is thriving and she is making a name for herself. She does have an opportunity to land a big client but once again Robert wants to intervene and do what he promised Kasie he would not do. He still struggles trying not to control her life and trying not to decimate anyone who he feels is a threat. This was one thing Kasie will not tolerate from Robert. They are still growing and trying to develop a strong relationship which he hopes will lead to marriage. I do have to say that I read this book after Just one Lie and I am glad I did. The last part of the book starts to reveal things that were shocking. I liked the glimpse back into Kasie and Roberts life and I give this story 4 O’s. (O’s for Orgasms)

Synopsis:
The long-awaited follow-up novel to the runaway New York Timesbestseller Just One Night—which Publishers Weekly gave a starred review and proclaimed, “Davis skillfully creates an uplifting story in which sex is presented both as freedom and as a metaphor for power, and where raw chemistry is the clear winner over bland complacency.”
In the instant international sensation Just One Night, sensible Kasie Fitzgerald unleashed her passions—and found herself—through an explosive affair. In Just One Lie, we meet Kasie’s wild and tortured sister, whose impulsivity and lack of self-control has set off a chain of events that changes her family forever.
Melody Fitzgerald is the opposite of the “perfect” daughter. The lead singer of an indie rock band, she is impulsive and creative, with a rebellious streak that both defines her and becomes her greatest enemy. Her lover, the enticing and unpredictable Ash, shares her free spirit and penchant for trouble. On the face of it, he seems to be her perfect match.
So why is she so drawn to her soft spoken, reliable drummer, Brad Witmer? How can a man who wears polo shirts and reads the financial section of the paper be of any interest to her at all? And why on earth does someone like that appear to be so captivated by her?
Before she knows it, Melody finds herself on a path of self-discovery, passion, and affairs of the heart. But will a dark secret from her past derail it all? Or will its exposure be the very thing that unburdens her heart and allows her to seek a future with the one man who loves her completely?
Review by Lita Thomas:
Just One Lie (Just One Night #2) by Kyra Davis is Melody’s story. In the first book we met Melody, she is the older sister of Kasie; the sister that was a total disappointment to her family; the sister Kasie has been trained not to be like. Melody is a free spirit who has was never understood by her parents. Melody was difficult from a young age engaging in sex, drugs and disruptive behavior. The story finds Melody singing in a band and she now goes by the name Mercy. Ash is a guy that she met several years ago and shows up at her show. She has a past with Ash and it seems something serious happened between them. Even though something bad took place, there is a connection between the two that keeps the relationship going. Brad is a member of the band and he has feeling for Mercy. As Mercy tries to get herself together and deal with her past she also has to navigate her feelings for two different men. Melody/ Mercy is a gritty story of self-discovery and forgiveness. A story that looks at mental illness and the effects of nontreatment of such mental illness. Mercy is a story of a young lady against all odds has enough internal strength to rise above her circumstances. I give Mercy’s story 4.5 O’s. (O’s for Orgasms)

Synopsis:
In this New York Times bestselling erotic enovella trilogy, a buttoned-up businesswoman takes her friend’s advice and has a fling with a stranger on a trip to Vegas—only to find herself under his mysterious, sexy power both in the boardroom and the bedroom.
Kasie Fitzgerald knows who she’s supposed to be. She’s a rising-star-workaholic at a global consulting firm. She’s the fiancée of a well-connected man who’s won the approval of her parents. People know that she’s reliable, serious, proper, cautious, pragmatic, and yes, a little predictable. She’s who Dave and her family want her to be.
But as her thirtieth birthday looms, buried feelings begin to resurrect. Her friend takes her to Vegas for one last wild and crazy night. In a dress much shorter and sexier than anything she has ever dared to wear before, she hits the blackjack tables. And meets him. Under the tailored clothes it’s clear that this is a man who is intense, powerful, and maybe even a little dangerous. With a touch of trepidation she accepts his invitation to get a drink, and before long, she’s in his hotel room.
She never gets his full name. Perhaps his anonymity is one of the reasons she’s able to give herself over to him and to the moment so completely.Perhaps it’s why she’s just had the most exquisite and passionate sex of her life. Shaken by her own behavior, Kasie tries to chalk it up to one crazy night. But when the mysterious gentleman she’s just had a fling with shows up in her office—as the CEO of a firm her company does a billion dollars of business with a year, demanding that she handle his account, and so much more—things will never be the same again. And there’s no telling where this will go…
Review by Lita Thomas: 4.0 ★★★★
Just One Night (Just One Night #1) By Kyra Davis tells the story of Kasie Fitzgerald. She is a young lady who has her entire life tried to live down the mistakes of her older sister. She is successful and is a dating the man of her parent’s dream. One day Kasie and her girlfriend take a trip to Las Vegas. Her girlfriend convinces Kasie to go to the casino wearing a very provocative dress and participate in a one night stand before she ties herself down to a life she doesn’t want. The dress belongs to her friend and is nothing like she would ever wear. The dress fits her like a glove and she is definitely getting the attention she wants. At the Black Jack table Kasie meets him. A good looking man with salt and pepper hair. After one night of pleasure Kasie goes back to her boring, structured life. Her boss comes in and informs her she will heading up a team for a very important client and he asked for her specifically. The new client turns out to be the man she had the one night stand with while in Las Vegas. Robert Dade is a very powerful man. Robert has a thing for Kasie and even though she shouldn’t want him, she can’t seem to stay away from Robert. Theirs is a very rough journey. Many forces do not want them to be together and what they endure is a really good story. I do have to say the feelings Kasie has for Robert are so strong and in turn Robert helps Kasie discover the woman he has always knew existed in her. I give their story 4 O’s (O’s for Orgasms)
