Title: Saving Her
Author: Alexis Noelle
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: August 17, 2015

My heart was crushed by a man who promised me everything and then took it all away. He proved to me that you never really know someone. People lie. Love is meant for fairy tales, not real life. He makes me want to throw caution to the wind. I don’t want love, but I do want Mason Brooks.
Love is a fantasy. Something that people convince themselves is real, but it isn’t. I was taught at a very young age that love is toxic. Since then I have learned to not need anyone. I have a small group of friends but they are given my loyalty. I have no use for love. She is dangerous to me. She makes me wonder what her touch would feel like. Lacey Hunt is toxic to me.
When two people are irreparably broken can they rise from the ashes?
Can love exist in two black hearts?
Review by Lita Thomas: 5.0 ★★★★★
Saving her by Alexis Noelle. Lacey’s world has been turned upside down. She gave Scott everything. Now she finds out that her husband has been cheating on her and has entire other family with children something he never wanted with her. Now divorced and starting over she has the help of her best friend to try and salvage her life. It is Lacey’s birthday and they are going out to celebrate but there is one problem. Mason! Lacey has a hard time dealing with him. He gets under her skin and she doesn’t know if she wants strangle him or have sex with him. Mason is a man with his share of demons. He knows he is damaged but there is something about this girl Lacey that has him acting like a jerk when she is around but the thoughts of what he wants to do to her can be considered rated X. One night between Lacey and Mason changed all of that. Two people who each have their own issues trying to reconcile what they have done. I do not want to give too much away about the story. It will not disappoint. When I looked upped I was almost finished with the book. I wanted more but what I got was something else. I was almost inconsolable by the end of this book. I have no choice but to give this book 5 stars. Loved it!!!!S
Shannon P’s Review: 3.5 ★★★.5
The story of Lacey and Mason is not unlike one I’ve read before. Woman betrayed by her ex-husband, man with a tortured past, both coming together for some amazing hot sexual release. That’s all they want, all they need, or so they think. What makes this story different from the others though is the way Alexis Noelle conveyed in her words how much one person would be willing to sacrifice in order to finally fulfill her greatest dream, and how that sacrifice affects all of those around her.
I really enjoy Alexis Noelle’s writing style. However, I would have preferred this particular storyline expounded upon and slowed down. I continue to look forward to reading more from her. I give Saving Her 3.5 stars.
*I received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
