Kenna is a pretty typical single mom. She takes her 5 kids to dance, soccer, and scouts. She just happens to make her living as an erotic book blogger. She has accepted the fact that she will probably always be single, until her dream fantasy man is sitting right in front of her.
Jax likes control. He’s never considered love or romance as an option, just as a necessary means to win a woman he’s interested in. So when he eyes a beautiful woman at a coffee shop and can’t stop thinking about her, he wonders what he has to do to possess her.
This is the hilarious story of two people who in a world of dreams are made for each other, but in reality could not be more incompatible. Will they find a way to make the dreams that live in their fantasies real, or are they destined to live without each other?
Author’s Note:
The Daydreaming novella series takes place in the same world as the Faultlines series and while there are many crossover elements, it is not the same story or direct sequel. While readers of that series will enjoy seeing characters in this series, you do not need to read one to read the other because it is not a direct sequel. This series is more erotic in nature, with lots of sexual situations, as well as a rather colorful choice of the English language (read- there’s a lot of swearing), so please note that this book is for mature audiences.

I received a complimentary copy of Kenna’s Reverie in exchange for an honest review.
Where to begin? I LOVED this book – it was a breath of fresh air! I laughed and laughed – just loved it.
Kenna is a single mom at 27 – she adopted 5 boys! FIVE! She is a reviewer and book blogger. Just those few details made me LOVE her immediately. She is hilarious and handles the boys so smoothly – I have one son and wish I could handle him as well as she handles FIVE! After the boys go off to school Kenna visits her favorite coffee shop – where she reads and blogs away. Cue in Jax – he sees her, obsesses over her and asks her out – she eventually says yes, but not before trying to scare him away.
Kenna: “I stared directly into his eyes before I dropped the bomb on him.” “ Because I have five kids.” Jax to himself: “Did she just say five kids?”
What could be greater than reading about a reviewer who LOVES the same genre as you? “ Look. I’m a mother, but I’m not dead. For that matter, I’m a young mother, with a taste for dirty books and a very wild imagination” LOVE KENNA!!!
For anyone who knows me – you know I am the typo queen (my reviews are edited – thank god for all of you!!) This had to be my FAVORITE line in the entire book. “Oh, I certainly did want to come, inside.” “See what I did there? Commas are an amazing thing.” OMG, HILARIOUS!
This is a quick novella that can be read within an hour or so – my only wish is that it was longer, much longer. I cannot wait for the second book Kenna’s Musing due out on Oct 31st – I know exactly what I will be doing on Halloween (besides giving away candy.) 5 Stars!

Kenna’s Reverie is a short quick read and is a Novella. Sometimes Novella’s really work with my blogging schedule. This story is about an erotic blogger named Kenna (she is single and a mother of 5 kids) and Jax and he isn’t used to kids and likes control. BTW I loved that Kenna was a blogger since that is what I do as well.
OMG you had me laughing out loud when the kids started talking about her date and Gage (her son) tells her to “Make sure he wraps it up,” There is a whole dialog there that is quite funny. I won’t say more but, these kids were something else.
I really enjoyed this book and can you say “Cliffhanger” Because of course there is a huge one! I hope it doesn’t take long for the next book! Because I really need to know what happened!
Kenna’s Reverie was a gift given for an honest review. I give it 4.5 stars.
I knew before I started reading that this was going to be a cliché. Weak girl meets billionaire bachelor. Let the story unfold. You know, the cliché we all make fun of but all secretly envy. Who cares if the plot is predictable? For that matter, all romance is predictable because in order to be considered romance, there must be a happy ending right? So really, everything in between is just filler to get to the happy ending.
Whatever. I love the filler. Don’t judge me.
As I read each page describing the initial encounter between the heroine and the hero, I kept thinking about Jax.
All those butterflies, sparks, good happy feelings that every good romance describes at the first encounter? Us book bloggers would call it the “insta-love”.
Yeah, that shit.
I had spent the last 10 years of my short 27 years of life reading every piece of romance I could get my hands on and never ONCE thought that it was real. It was all just a fantasy.
But within moments of meeting a total stranger, albeit a totally panty-dropping gorgeous stranger, I had every one of those fantasy inspired feelings.
So, the question running through my head, was it real or did I just imagine all of those feelings because I spend too much reading about them?
And if it was real, was it some sort of sick cosmic joke? Where was Jax when I was 22? 23?
I heard the front door open and slam shut.
“Mom!” I heard my son Blane’s voice yell out.
Sighing I stood up to go downstairs and start dinner. You know, to live my life. My very well thought out and planned life. That I wanted.
The life that had no place for a man like Jax Dowe.

She is passionate about racial identity and equality issues, foster care, adoption, and non-profits that work to help victims of sexual assault and trafficking.
She is shamelessly addicted to romance, erotica, dark/twisted/taboo, smutty, sexy, anti-hero, flawed hero, controlling, mind blowing books! Basically everything that would make her mother cry. 😉
She tweets every day @TheGrangerBunch and is a Goodreads junkie!
