Mirror, mirror … who’s the fairest of them all?
I still cringe when I hear that line. A fairy tale that had girls pretending they were the fairest, the most beautiful, and the most entitled. A fairy tale most couldn’t grow out of turned my haunted childhood memories into a living nightmare. Girls who grew up believing that pile of garbage became the meanest of all ‘mean girls.’
And those mean girls were right – it was a line meant for all the beautiful people in the world – and I knew the answer would never be me.
The women with long legs, flat stomachs, and perfect chests.
The type of women Kane Masters gravitated toward.
Well, that’s definitely not Willow Tate.
No. That will never be me.
Because I’m completely imperfect.
And … I hate myself.
I have no idea what Kane could possibly see in someone like me when he could have them.

Review by Bettina A: 5.0 ☆☆☆☆☆This was an amazing book. I did not read about Willow only. I read about myself because I saw myself in her. This book pulled me in and I related to her in so many levels.
This is not a story about woman who has insecurity issues, and it only took a man loving her to see how beautiful she really is. It is about her loving herself enough to keep standing up when others knock her down. To continue to find strength in herself with the help of others. It is about letting go of people’s idea of her and get living herself.
What I took away from this book is that I am perfectly imperfect. It is okay to be perfect while having flaws. This book helped me to find my strength to go outside my comfort zone. Thank you Harper Sloan for a great book!! I received a complimentary copy for an honest review.

Lita T’s Review: 5.0 ★★★★★
Perfectly Imperfect by Harper Sloan is a departure from previous books I have read by this author. For some reason I read the part at the beginning of the book Dear Reader. Please read this before you start the story. I could really relate to what the author was saying and I was excited about her telling this story. I got more than I expected. This was an exceptional story that as many people as possible should read. Willow is a young lady who experiences many situations and feelings that a lot of young ladies who have body and weight issues experience. This story made me feel a wide range of emotions. I went from being mad and sad over the treatment Willow experienced and I also laughed quite a bit throughout this story but by the end of the book I was crying without me even realizing I was till I felt the tears running down my cheeks. I was also compelled to write a note to the author to let her know just how much of a reaction her book had on me and to let her know just how outstanding and awesome I thought this story was. It has been awhile since I have read a story that has made me have such a strong reaction. I give this story a 5 and if I could give it a higher rating I would. Enjoy this story and tell your friends. I was given an ARC for an honest review. ༺✿** ༺✿** ༺✿** ༺✿** ༺✿** ༺✿** ༺✿** ༺✿** ༺✿** ༺✿** ༺✿** ༺✿** ༺✿**༺✿** ༺✿** ༺✿**
Shannon P’s Review: 5.0 ★★★★★ #iAmWillow
Yes, I too am Willow. I was Willow and I’m striving to be Willow. I couldn’t wait to read this book, but I have to say that I nearly put it down at the beginning. There are certain things going on in my life right now that this story was just hitting too close to home, and it was literally slaying me to turn each page. With that being said, I am so glad that I continued. I love the transformation that Willow goes through, and I absolutely adore Kane. If I had read this book a year ago, I would have thought that Kane was wonderful…for a fictional character. I know now that there are men that can truly love us not in spite of our imperfections, but because of them. I loved the line in the book that said it “took two imperfect souls to form perfection together”.
Thank you Harper for basically holding up a mirror in front of me and making me see that I, just like Willow, am perfectly imperfect.
I give Perfectly Imperfect 5 perfect stars! This book was not an ARC for Shannon.

Excerpt
“Are you nervous right now?”
I nod.
“Tell me why.” His demand, steady and calm, gives me the courage I need to tell him. To open a vein and bleed my insecurities.
“I’m not perfect,” I whisper.
“And neither am I, Willow. I don’t want perfect. What so many see as perfect, to me, is fake. Perfect isn’t achievable naturally. No one, and I mean no one, is perfect.”
I’m shaking my head before he’s even done speaking, but one long finger comes up and presses against my lips before I can speak.
“No, let me finish. There isn’t beauty in perfection. It’s as fake as the image the word projects. Beauty is found in imperfection, Willow, because to admit you’re not perfect means you’re admitting you’re not whole and absolute. When I think of myself, I see someone willing to admit he’s as far from complete as it gets because, in order to get to that perfection, I need to find the other part of me who will make my life better. To take all the faults I have and fill them, and only then will I be there. You see, the way I see it, the only way to become perfect is to find that perfectly imperfect person who brings it out of you.”
When he stops, I swear I might have stopped breathing. How am I supposed to respond to that?
“Do you trust me?” he asks, his voice strong and sure.
“Yes, Kane. Nerves or not, I do.”
“Then let me show you what I see when I look at you.”
He brings his hands up, framing my face once again in a way I’m quickly becoming addicted to the feeling of. His warm eyes implore, begging me without words to let him continue. I do not intend to stop him, regardless of the butterflies currently taking over my system. I’m all in.

About the Author:

Harper lives in small town Georgia just a short drive from her hometown of Peachtree City. She (and her 3 daughters) enjoy ruling the house they dubbed ‘Estrogen Ocean’, much to her husband’s chagrin. Harper has a borderline unhealthy obsession with books; you can almost ALWAYS find her with her eReader attached. She enjoys bad reality TV and cheesy romantic flicks. Her favorite kind of hero–the super alpha kind!
Harper started using writing as a way to unwind when the house went to sleep at night; and with a house full of crazy it was the perfect way to just relax. It didn’t take long before a head full of very demanding alphas would stop at nothing to have their story told.
