 Nikki K’s Review: 5.0 Stars                                                              Through A Glass, Darkly is the first in the new Assassins of Youth MC series , and boy does Layla Wolfe come out will guns blazing in this book. She’s taken her signature smart and sexy, womanizing biker and paired him with a naïve yet willful beauty.

Gideon is an outlaw, a rebel, and he makes no bones about it. Mahalia is the dutiful, yet miserable, 40th wife of the prophet Allred Lee Chiles. As the head of the Church of Good Fortune, a fundamentalist Mormon sect, Chiles leads with a iron fist and twisted sense of morality. While Gideon has been accused of ruining women, never has he taken away their freedom, their free will. Seeing the abuses being heaped upon the women and children of Cornucopia he can not turn a blind eye to their plight. As his desire for Mahalia grows, so does his desire to the prophet fall from grace.

I have read several books in The Bare Bones and Bent Zealots series and I have become a real fan of Ms. Wolfe’s writing style. This book is no exception. The way she incorporates the often difficult subject of religion into an erotic MC story is perfection. Each page I read kept me wanting more. I had to know what happened next? Where would this wild ride on Gideon’s pussy pad take me?

Follow Gideon and Mahalia on their journey Through a Glass and discover the twists and turns that have made this my new favorite book by Layla Wolfe. I look forward to the next in the series and would definitely recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading well written stories with an adventurous and sexy theme. I happily rate this book 5 Stars!!

I love that Layla Wolfe does know how to tell a good story and she writes her series as full-length, standalone novels that have a HEA and no cliffhangers!

Layla you had me laughing at “meat whistle”. I also tried looking up words in this story like Morbot (I think it is a cross between Mormon & Robot, like a Stepford Wife) & zbini – a Navajo word for black. (Mahalia is part black) I am still not certain whether these are made up words or not.

This is Gideon Fortunati and Mahalia story. Mahalia is Allred Lee Chiles “spiritual wife in the new and everlasting covenant of marriage.” Allred Lee Chiles is an evil man. He is the leader of a Mormon Sect and he has many wives.

Now I am going to let you read the synopsis for yourself no need for me to reiterate what Layla has given you about this story. But, this is another book that I love by Layla Wolfe. I had to finish the book with only a few breaks in between reading.

I do have to give you one quote from Through a Glass, Darkly that really caught me. Gideon is talking to Mahalia. “I want you to know that heaven is my mouth, eternal paradise is my c*ck, and everything to do with me is sheer rapture. OMG, I loved this part of the book. I can’t tell you more because you need to read this book.

If you have read any of Layla’s other books you will know about the Bent Zealots so this is roughly a spinoff from that MC series.
