He couldn’t help himself. He gripped her shoulders, lowered his head, and pressed his lips to hers.

Lita T’s Review: 4 STARS
Sophie’s Voice by Helen Hardt is set in 19 century England. Lady Sophie a spinster. Her sister and her cousins are all married and with children. At 24 years old she knows that she has had only one suitor and no other prospects in site so an old maid she will be. She has resolved herself to that fact. She does however have the voice of an angel, her solace. After losing a bet with her sister she has to audition for the new musical. The owner of the theater and director of the play is Zach Newland, He is an accomplished actor and all around playboy. However when he hears Lady Sophie’s voice he is automatically smitten with her. She on the other hand has a station in life she has to up hold plus due to her life experience she doesn’t think too much about herself. But Zach stirs something in her that she has never felt before he has gotten her to do things that are not becoming a lady. While Lady Sophie and Zach are engaging in things that married couple do, there are forces at work doing things and creating trouble trying to pull them apart. This was not only a coming into your own story, a young women blossoming and becoming her own person but there was also a little suspense. A very sexy story. I truly enjoyed this story but would have liked to have had a better understanding of who and why. I do not want to give too much away but once you read the book you will know what I am talking about. I was given an ARC of the book for an honest review. I give this story 4 stars.
