First thing right out of the box. Dirty Bad Secrets comes with a BIG WARNING!  This book is named Dirty Bad for a reason.  IT IS DIRTY BAD and OH SO GOOD!  READ THE WARNING that comes with this book.  Jade West means it when she says this book has some “hardcore BDSM and sexual practices that may offend”

There are definitely some sexual practices that I say ewwww to and have no intention of ever doing!  But, come on this is Jade West we are talking about.  If you have read any of her other books you will know what I am talking about. 

So I had an incident that happened while I was reading Dirty Bad Secrets.  I pretty much always listen to my books using the text to speech setting on my Kindle and I was using a bluetooth head set.  I went out of range with the headset from the book and the audio was heard by my son and DIL and there was my Kindle reading out loud about butt plugs. My son & DIL are not children they are both in there mid to late 30’s.  Now they are teasing me about the book that I was listening too.  Oh well! Like I said not young kids but, not a subject that I would like to discuss with my kids about.

This is the story about Andy Morgan and Faye Devere.  I know I would never have let Faye do to me what she did with Andy.  BTW I love Andy’s character.  I am still not too sure about Faye’s.  But, Vincent is the cause of Faye’s need to do what she did.  Yes, I am being vague.  I can’t let slip any spoilers!  I kind of have a love/hate for Vincent and I am not sure why.  Things that were done to Faye by Vincent that were horrendous.  But, I kind of wanted to know more.  I CAN’T WAIT for the next book in the Dirty Bad Series because I think Topaz is going to be playing a big part in it!

Dirty Bad Secrets (Dirty Bad, #4) by Jade West is the dirtiest, craziest and most deviant of the series. Jade has outdone herself in this book. I can say that I had a hard time with this book. Faye is coming back to Club Explicit after walking out on Andy the co-owner after a 3 year absent. She expects to walk in and claim her stake in the club and wants Andy to get over her leaving and accept her back with open arms. Andy on the other hand is furious at Faye’s return and is still salty that she walked out on their partnership and just expects him to be ok with her return. Thiers is a strange relationship. They are mad at each other but at the same time there is something more than meets the eye. Faye also has secrets that she isn’t ready to share but we do know that she was the muse for a famous author of hard core BDSM. Faye is also dealing with flash backs of her time with the author and the things he allowed to be done to her. The things that took place in this book is not for the faint of heart. Jade went to another level with the sex in this book it was dirty, extremely dirty and deviant. I had to take breaks reading some of the things Faye had to endure. From all the books I have read on BDSM they have always talked about consensual adults, hard and soft limits, safewords and sanity. What goes on between Faye and Andy was a free for all. What she endured in Italy was so wrong and so deviant that some of the stuff was sickening. I cannot understand how she made it out of there sane. She was a truly tormented soul and at times I thought she was just an emotional crazy. With all this being said even with all the craziness and deviance that was taking place there is a very good story and the title fits the book. I can only imagine what the next book will be about. I was given an ARC of the book for an honest review. Due to the subject matter I struggled with what to rate the this book but based on the story I have to give the book 4.5 stars

It’s kinda hard to write a review of this book without giving spoilers, so here goes:  Dirty Bad Secrets is the story of the owners of Explicit—the sex club featured in the Dirty Bad series—Andy and Faye.  Andy is the workaholic manager of the club, and Faye has been a silent partner for the past few years.  She unceremoniously returns to claim her spot at the club after being gone for three years, and Andy isn’t happy about it at all.  He’s been successfully running Explicit, and has no intention of letting Faye ruin all the hard work he’s done to make the club a success.

Andy and Faye have a complicated past.  They’ve hooked-up, but I wouldn’t really call it a relationship.  They shared more of a satisfying of physical needs.  They both felt something for the other, but neither were willing to risk their business relationship.  Andy is very protective of Faye, but still wary of her being back in his life.  There are definitely some unresolved issues between them, and how they work through some of them makes for some great moments in this book.

During her hiatus from the club, Faye met Vincent, a writer, and parts of their relationship became the content for his popular erotica series.  Faye decides to end their relationship, and heads back to Explicit.  Andy knows there’s a reason for Faye’s sudden reappearance, but she’s not saying anything.  So, he does a little digging, and slowly discovers what Faye has been up to the past three years.  Faye is trying to work her way back into Andy’s good graces.  She wants to learn how to help run the club, and wants to show Andy she’s back for good.  She’s carrying a lot of pain from her past, and sometimes has a twisted way of dealing with it—usually directed at Andy.  When her jilted lover comes to town to win her back, that’s when things get even crazier.

This is a beautiful, gut-wrenching, soul-crushing, heartbreaking, heart mending story Jade tells with such brutal honesty.  Don’t get caught up in all the icky parts; you’ll miss the intent of this awesome love story.  Of course, there’s plenty hot sexy scenes. And you get to catch up on a few folks from the previous three books.

Jade has made a point to warn you about this story; more times than the previous books in this series.  If you know the Dirty Bad series, it’s hardcore BDSM, but Secrets is hardcore on a much more intense level.  HEED JADE’S WARNINGS!! They aren’t a “chick who cried wolf” type of warning.  There are things in this book that can’t be unread—or unseen in your mind.  Once again, I had my teddy bear with me when I read this book, and I truly needed Bear-Bear to get me through some of the more extreme portions of the book.  I laughed, almost cried, cringed, and went through a few pairs of panties.

This dark tale is not for the faint of heart.  I am definitely not one who devours dark erotica, but Jade is so talented in her story telling, that I find myself wondering when the next book releases.  She’s that good.
