Bend Me by Sophia Scarlet is the first book in the Absolution series. This is the story of Agnes who is trying to recover from the death of her 6 month old baby from a rare form of cancer along with her marriage. She is emotionally shut off and feels nothing. She has not cried at all since all this has happened. She has been going to therapy to help her work through her problems but that doesn’t seem to help. When she feels like nothing is helping she decides to try something unconventional. She goes online where she discovers the lifestyle of a Dominant/ Submissive relationship with a masochistic component which she feels might help. Just maybe a good beating might help her feel again. This was my first time reading this author and I can say that I have found my next new author to follow. Her way of telling a story drew me in and I was hooked. I was very connected to the characters and was already looking forward to the next book. The story was a quick read but told a complete story. I enjoyed the journey the book took me on and I was taken through several different emotions. I laughed quite a bit and the sex was definitely hot. I was given a copy of this book for an honest review. I give this book 5 stars.

Break Me (Absolution, #2) by Sophia Scarlet picks up where book 1 left off. Agnes/ Eliza has agreed to a 2 month submissive relationship with David. The only problem is still has not told David a few key facts about who she really is. She is falling in love with David and has every intention of telling him the truth but she is hoping her husband will sign the divorce papers than she can give herself freely to David. However Agnes/Eliza’s husband has not signed the papers and she is getting worried that everything will not work out. After everything she has been through she deserves to be happy. I truly enjoy this authors way of telling a story. She pulls me into the story and I am interested and excited about the story and the characters. The journey of Agnes/ Eliza and David is a sweet journey of two people who have lived a closed off life where life has not been enjoyed by either but basically a passage of time. There is passion and purpose to their relationship and they finally realize how much life has passed them by. A read that will keep you engaged from the beginning to the end. I read this story in one sitting and didn’t want to put it down till I had finished the book. I look forward to the next book and am excited as to how their story will end. I was given a copy of this book for an honest review. I give this book 5 stars.

Bind Me (Absolution#3) by Sophia Scarlet This book picks up were the last book left off. Agnes’s identity has been blown by her husband. Davis is devastated to find the woman he has fallen in love with and had hoped to spend the rest of his life with is not who she said she was. Agnes’s husband wants her back and Agnes has been broad sided by what has happened and is in shock. Once everyone has come to their senses since the revelation of Agnes’s deception this is their story. I was so excited to read this book. I really like this author’s writing style. She writes in a way that pulled me into the story and I found myself really caring about the characters. The journey the writer took me on in telling Agnes and David’s story was one that told a true and complete story of them trying to navigate the act of betrayal. Would David be able to forgive Agnes for lying to him about being married and giving him a false name? Would Agnes be able to convince David that she does truly love him and to forgive her? I was not disappointed with this book and the ending was more than I could have asked for or wanted. I was given an ARC for an honest review. I give this book and series 5 stars. Well worth the read and if you have not read this author give her a try. You will not be disappointed.
