“I’ve told you I’ve fantasized about you. So, tell me the truth. Do you fantasize about me?”

Bestselling novelist Jackson Ford is arrogant, exacting, and relentless on the page and off. His irresistible new editor, Ellie Parker is smart, headstrong, and not intimidated by Jackson’s attitude – or the way he turns every exchange into a filthy seduction.

There isn’t a thing these two can agree on, except their intense attraction. But with Jackson’s deadline looming, can they stop fighting long enough for him to deliver the hit she needs?

The relationship between editor and author has never been so intimate or so explicit…

Tanya Rae’s rating: 5 of 5 stars

I want girlfriends like Ellie Parker had! She really had a great support system with the girls that she grew up with. And, Jackson Ford really was “arrogant, exacting, and relentless” but, he has a reason for being like he was that I can’t get into. But the revengeful thing he did to Ellie was unforgivable. I am not sure if I could have forgiven him! Because it was soooo very lowdown! And, of course I can’t get into that either without giving away spoilers. I did love some of the banter between Jackson & Ellie! Oh and the sexual sparks fly off of them! I was definitely sucked into their story from the very beginning of this book. I love this book. I have been wanting to read a book by Roxy Sloane and I finally had my chance. I look forward to reading more.

I received a complimentary copy of this book for an honest review. I give 5 STARS and I can’t wait to read more from this author.

Theresa M’s Review: 5 STARS

When Ellie Parker is assigned editor to Jackson Ford, she’s beyond excited.  Jackson’s a world-famous author, and this is a huge feather in Ellie’s editing cap.  After a brief, but intense phone conversation with Jackson, Ellie finds out that Jackson is none too pleased with her critique of his current WIP (work in progress).  That same phone conversation includes Jackson’s very dirty seduction of Ellie, and that leaves her confused.  Ellie is headstrong, and knows her job.  She’s not going to let Jackson intimidate her while she’s only trying to help him create a great story.  Ellie is determined to make this work relationship work—even if there’s a strong underlying attraction between the two.  They both have a job to do, and neither is going to let the other dictate how it will be done.

I loved seeing this story unfold, and how they manage the personal and professional tightrope they’re forced to acknowledge.  Their lives away from each other were also intriguing, and you get some insight into how they tick.  There are some pulling of the heartstrings in this story, and one of the side stories really hit me hard personally.  Jackson and Ellie are both very passionate people, and you see it in their work—and away from work (wink).  Ellie and Jackson’s friends were also an interesting bunch, and I’d love to see more from them (hint hint).

If you’ve read Roxy Sloane before, you know she’s going to give you a great love story, but there’s always a dirty-talking alpha, and Mr. Jackson Ford doesn’t disappoint.  If you haven’t read Roxy, you need to rectify that ASAP!

Roxy is one of my go-to authors, and I’ll read whatever she writes.

I received this ARC for an honest review, and I give it 5 stars.
