Review by Lisa G: 4 STARS I’m a fan of Rebecca Shea, I enjoy her writing style and sense of humor. Dare Me was a book about life, love, living, death and everything in between. I laughed, I cried and I swooned.
Saige Phillips recently moved back to Chicago and is making new friends, these new friends may have dared her to do something she’d typically never do. Ask out a man – Holt Hamilton, did I mention Holt is a hottie with an athletic build that you can see through his suit? Oh and he may also be partial owner of the company Saige is employed with. Holt is drawn to Saige from the interview and jumps at the chance to have drinks with her. Saige’s past is sad – I caught myself tearing up a few times. Holt’s past is just as horrible – I respect a man who tries to right all the wrongs in the world. The way these two come together is a sight in itself! Holt heals Saige like no other has been able to – honestly it is so touching, I cried.
The secondary characters were amazing, I loved them just as much as I did Saige and Holt. I felt as though the secondary characters disappeared from the story about 80% in and this completely bummed me out. I wanted to “see” their reactions and hear more from them.

Dare Me by Rebecca Shea Saige really does have it all. She is beautiful, smart, personable and scarred. Moving back to Chicago for her dream job should be therapeutic for her. Rooming once more with her college roommate while working at a prestigious firm with a group of individuals that she just clicks with instantly, life is good. Then drinks after work lead to a dare, she is dared to ask out Holt for drinks. Mr sex on a stick Holt, Mr panties melt around him Holt, her boss Holt. Rebecca Shea did an excellent job with this book. The characters are rich, vibrant and engaging while the storyline is quite compelling. Her approach to the drama as it unfolds was well executed and her portrayal of the sex scenes were hot even for this Devil. This book is a great example of how one innocent game, one harmless dare can either throw your life completely off track or get you headed back in the right direction. The Devil awards this book 4.0 pitchforks
