Lies and Lullabies is Simone (Sugar) & Grady (Catch) story and what a story. I think you outdid yourself with this book Courtney Lane. I know that I keep saying this over and over but, I really do love your books!
Lies and Lullabies is a standalone but, the ending was written in a way that there could be another book if Courtney Lane chooses to write more. I am putting my bid in now!!!! I want more!
It was a real weird feeling (in a very good way) that I had while reading Lies and Lullabies. I felt hypnotized by Catch. And, when Catch told Simone (that was the name he used when he was serious) but, when he told her
“You can’t wash me away. I’m a permanent mark on your skin.”
I about melted right there. The shower scene had me weak in the knees and I should not have read that scene while on my break at work.
This book isn’t as dark as some of the books that Courtney Lane has written but, it is still a dark story. But, people that love dark stories should love her books.
I am going to give Lies and Lullabies 5 hypnotizing STARS. I received a complimentary copy of this book for an honest review.

COURTNEY LANE has been creating her own little world since she was very young. When she was eight years old, she began to bring her worlds to life with a pen and paper.
While many of her works touch several different genres, she has an archetype when it comes to the female protagonists in her stories — they have to have certain brand of strength, be deeply flawed, and harbor layered personalities. In her books you will find themes that reflect the darker side of life with a tremendous amount of depth and complexity. She also has an affinity for characters that aren’t necessarily the girl or boy next door, or the people you’d encounter in everyday life. In other words, she prefers to explore characters who aren’t easy to fall in love with.
Currently, Courtney can be found either working on her next book, playing the latest role-playing game on her X-Box (preferably a game by Bioware), or spending time with her family.
