Lita T’s Review: 4 Stars

Tantalizing Maria: The Temptation Saga Book 7 by Helen Hardt is the story of Jefferson Bay. He has recently been released from prison after serving over 30 years for a murder he did not commit. He now is living at his family ranch but has no claim to the property due to his rebellious behavior which resulted in him being disinherited by his grandfather. The land is now left to the woman he loved before he got in trouble. She ended up marrying his brother and having children with him. Maria did what she thought she had to do. She loved Jefferson but when he got in trouble she also found out she was carrying his child. For the sake her child she devised a plan to get with Jefferson’s brother to ensure her child gets what he or she is due. Jefferson is trying to readjust with life after prison. He is left with many regrets and demons, while Maria still pines for the love of her life who ignores her. I truly liked this story. The way in which the author told the story going back and forth between the present and past kept me interested. I liked the author telling the story of how they fell in love and their present struggle. I do have to say that even though this is book 7 it can be read as a standalone. I had not read any of the previous books and had no problem knowing what was going on in the story. I did see the author this weekend and got further information on the previous books which I plan on reading. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. I give this story 4 stars.
